It's VERY random. Just observing here on the forums, I have seen holds that only lasted a couple days, and I've heard about people who were on hold for a long time.
FWIW it seems like chip holds right now mean just a few extra days but there's no way to know.
For what it's worth, my train is halfway to Arizona, shipped out by train on the 9th, sat for just one day in the CSX yard and one more day in the IHB yard. It's been on the move ever since. The train isn't fast, but if you're on a train car, it is possible to take delivery within a week...
If I was making a vehicle that had a lot of easter eggs, especially if it had geo coordinates, I'd put in the computer an easter egg that would unlock if the vehicle actually visited all (or most where possible) of the coordinates hidden in the car.
Great find!
Blue is on the move again!
I missed a departure apparently some time this morning (it's Sunday, I like to sleep in!), so there's a gap, but here's what I have so far:
Wayne MI Jan 9 bound for IHB Gibson IA.
Walbridge OH Jan 10.
Garrett IN Jan 11.
Departed for Gibson on CSXT Jan 13 9:38a...
I call about 3 times a day because I'm obsessed with this process. That represents about five calls worth of info so far. What I get from each call is slightly different as the status gets updated. Here's basically what I hear:
Car TTGX710986 LOAD ARRIVED GARRETT IND. JAN 11 11:46. Scheduled...
I've been tracking this train for a couple days, but I'm a little confused.
The robo voice keeps saying the train is headed for Gibson, Indiana and will be there on the 15th at 5a... that's a long way from where it needs to be but I'm guessing that's just another interim stop. Another bit...
I talked to someone from Marketing last week, they said the line photos are random, not everyone gets them, and they don't have the ability to request them.
Shipped! Checked at 8 this morning and was still built. Checked again at noon and it's shipped!
I asked Chat and received my railcar number. Called csx and confirmed their robot is severely hard of hearing but if you persevere or use the number pad like I did, it does work.
Now to...
So, I contacted Chat... then I called Marketing (because Chat suggested I do so).
Chat didn't have a railcar number for me yet, but they said they can totally provide it once the truck's status is in transit, so I'll need to get back with them on that in a few days I suppose.
Chat also said...
Just checked and was surprised to find this update waiting for me:
Still no emails. Interesting there are two pizza tracker pages, both show the same VIN but one shows order date 9/9/22 and the other shows 10/15/21 ... I wonder if this discrepancy is why I'm not getting emails? Weirdness...
Stickered 12/12, blended 12/19, production'd 12/21, modules and tag 12/22 but...
I'm guessing probably no shipping next week. Still, new year, new vehicle. Should be fun.
Wishing Ford would fix their system so I could at least get the baby picture.
I'm camping the window sticker and the modules page. Those seem most relevant right now. Build date was listed as 12/19, WS shows 12/19 blend with a low in-line number, so hoping to see modules pop tomorrow sometime.
