  1. What upgrade would you do if ....

We have a 2024 2-dr Black Diamond, and I'd agree with Fordified1 on the rear locker. We had a 'zuki for almost 20 years, though, no lockers, although now, after going through the off-rodeo and the REAL capabilities of the Bronco, we've used the locker on a few occasions...it's mostly been...
  2. Winch recommendations for capable bumper

I've got a '24 Black DIamond with a capable bumper, my issue with front mounted winches is I've replace my D-rings with a Blue Ox tow point so we can tow the Bronco behind our RV. We also have a TriPro front bumper camera up in front. Sorry for a potential hijack, but I'm interested in what...
  3. Sedona locals

We're a definite maybe... ;-) We're in Prescott, and have contractors that will be by that weekend, specific date yet to be determined. When are you setting your schedule?
  4. Towing recommendations/solutions?

I just got the 7-way/4-way combo plug to mount by the hitch, no plugging tailights in. As I haven't towed yet and don't have plans to except when/if needed, I'm not concerned that only my trailer directionals wouldn't work.
  5. Towing recommendations/solutions?

I plugged the Curt unit that just plugs into the stock connector at the bumper and do NOT have a brake controller. The tail & running lights work fine, just not the directionals. For a rare/occasional light towing, this will work fine for me. Otherwise, the hitch is just another recovery...
  6. are there any black diamond stock owners out there?

We got a 2024 2-dr BD, very happy keeping up with all the '35's w/lift/SAS rigs going offroad to date. Yes, technically they're more capable, but I agree that the best "option" is a good spotter! We'll be going to Elephant Hill in UT where the confluence of the Green & CO rivers are next...
  7. Utah, sand hollow.

We had a ball there during United by Bronco a few weeks ago, lots of off-road trails with "special challenges". But I think our best discovery was the Bon Rue bakery in Hurricane, try their Kouign Amanns...!! Just awesome!
  8. Flat Tow Blue Ox Adapters for Modular Bumper Recovery Pts.

We used the Blue Ox BX2692 on our capable bumper...it's not an actual tow bar, but replaces the D-rings on the front of each frame member, then you use the twist-lock fittings when you attach your tow bar. My only feedback to Blue Ox was to have the loops for attaching the safety cables angle...
  9. Electronic issue at elevation

We have a 2024 Black Diamond and live near 6kft, no issues; including travelling from sea level to 10kft while off-roading.
  10. 7 Stupid Ford (EcoBoost) Engine Habits that are KILLING your Turbo

Nothing new here from a longer-term turbo operator perspective, although I'm surprised he didnt whine about the auto start-stop feature, I always turn that off when starting the car, part of my routine procedure. Coking on journal bearings is particularly bad, and idling your engine after...
  11. Mall Crawler Truth

Ditto on the youper stuff (and northern MN), also lots by Devil's Lake, and Wyalusing/Prairie du Chien area. I can only think if I looked more, there'd be lot's more, too! I'd think there'd be lots in Ashland County if you're up for the trip (not sure where in WI you are), but I think there's...
  12. Wolfbox G900 TriPro Camera Review

I went to the fuse panel...139/USB charger for the constant 12vdc hookup and 22/image module for the 12 on ignition/accy hookup with the Wolfbox accy wiring kit. I took the stock mirror down and used their dash hookup for that, although I needed to get four 2mmx0.40 pitch screws for the back of...
  13. Any Hurricane Utah residents on here?

go to unified by bronco later this month to spend a few more days checking it out...
  14. Seeking Advice: Dealership Joyrode My Bronco, Questionable Repairs, and No Support from Ford Corporate

Don't think of action or retribution if you haven't thought of what identifiable and quantifiable (e.g., dollars) damages might be, and then what you'd consider as appropriate compensation. The videos are primary evidence, and should be copied/backed up appropriately and never share the...
  15. Running Boards That Can Attach to the Rock Rails - recommendations?

We have a '24 Black Diamond. Installed Mabett "running boards". Like 'em as they run the length of the side so you don't have to worry about where you're placing your feet stepping into the vehicle, and they "bolt-clamp" onto the rails and would likely just slide off if loaded (with vehicle...
  16. Wolfbox front camera locations?

Got mine "for Xmas", mounting the front cam per the pic. It does stick out a bit, but you can angle it down for off-road, then back to horizontal for street driving. Ive got blue loctitie on the screws and shrink wrap on the connector.
  17. Broncos and MICE.

If you buy moth balls: in CA, they come in sealed plastic bags; you'll have to buy a nylon mesh bag to put them in then put the mesh bag under the hood. If you buy them in NV, they'll come double wrapped in a bag, but remove the outer one and the inner one is perforated and you can just put that...
  18. Best Christmas Gift for a Bronco Owner: LEGO Technic Ford Bronco

Took me two days on and off to assemble mine...a fun distraction today!!
