Fuse 55 is switched with the parking lights. It is the trailer parking light fuse which is the same as the parking lights. I used it at first, but decided to just go straight to the headlight harness at the lights. I did remove the headlight to get to it and have room to do the wiring.
I ended up not going to the fuse box and just tapped into the parking light wire at the harness for the head light assembly. I added an inline fuse to the power lead coming off the letters to the wire I tapped into.. Here is the diagram though for the harness. It is the #9 (green/orange) wire...
They are on there pretty good. I’m sure they can be removed, but you would have to remove the adhesive and reapply new. As far as the original letters, they have or had plastic nubs that went through holes on the grill and were melted (stamped) to the inside of the grill. That’s why it was...
I have mine hooked up to the parking lights and they are on any time the parking lights are on. Even when I unlock it, they turn on. I used the trailer light parking lamp fuse though. I don’t know if you have to have the tow package for that fuse to exist though. It is #55 in the under hood...
Finished. A few conference calls in between the install, but pretty easy. Maybe 1-2 hours. Connected them to the aux switch wire in the front under the hood, but will probably end up just going to the parking lights. Overall… very pleased! I think they are at the perfect level of brightness...
