Well, this is a bummer for some like me who were making their final decision by 10/31. I was just about to ask what was the plan for people considering to switch. So, I suppose some of us are out of luck? I guess there's always a few others, but WC was closer to me ... dang.
I'm a crybaby, I know ... but was really hoping these would become available. Getting further away from ordering ...
1) X-Plan 2) Slide out shelf on 2 door 3) Donut door 4) Insert whatever you were looking forward to. Over-promise, under-deliver. Oh wait ...
I don't know if I missed it (I did read through all 10 pages), but if we change by the 31st (even though not mandatory), can we change it again a second time by the new deadline? Boy, this launch is a mess.
Livermore Ford is ghosting me which we all know what that probably means. 4 emails, 1 in-person visit, and 1 text ... no joy. I'll post again in it's own thread if they ever respond to me as to their stance.
I feel packages vs individual options is just a middle finger to most customers on a budget. I agree with the assessment on the lux. All worthless to me except possibly the adaptive cruise control.
I'm speaking to items like optional items that customers may not want, e.g. protective body film, nitrogen filled tires, glass etching VIN, to be blunt - items to pad the bottom line that are driven by the individual dealership and not by the manufacturer.
Thanks much.
Thanks for starting this thread. @WCFord, maybe I missed it, but does your dealership state any requirements of any dealer installed options for the Bronco or otherwise? Naturally, most people want to not deal with those unnecessary conflicts, so thought it would be good to confirm here for...
Livermore CA Ford Lincoln. Emailed three times and texted once. No response. Went today in person. Salesman talked to sales manager who did not talk to me directly - I should have asked if he would chat (my fault), but thought he would come out and speak to me. I will update later, but they...
I'll keep my eyes peeled for sure. I plan on stopping by Livermore Ford in person in the next week since they have gone dark, well, haven't responded at all via email. Walnut Creek will be on my list if I get anything negative from Livermore.
Oh gawd, a "mid-Oct" definition discussion? I know it's all pro/con with how rapid communication works ... but it is still challenging to see these discussions and not think this isn't the person having speculations how to define calendar nuances and acceptable corporate lingo:
Because I'm still kicking myself for buying a Discovery instead of a Defender in '95 (but I still drove the sh!t out of that Discovery, even after two blown head gaskets).
I'm in the camp that I could care less about it all at this point ... mainly because of the "dealership" inconsistencies (local to CA and nothing to those that have been open and honest with their customers thus far). I know it's a necessary evil, but still annoying AF.
What makes the process...
This article seems just like a lot of misinformation and speculation (based on what we've actually come to believe thus far from semi-official channels).
