Hi! I didn't see you responded to this thread until now. These are the stock springs, I ordered a set in May to see if I had just gotten a faulty pair, but they are the same. Can you suggest a compatible spring from a different Ford model that would work in our consoles but actually keeps...

I wish there was a shorter one to purchase also- I tried to do @drvahe 's modification, but I wasn't able to bend the spring hooks. He even says "it will require a lot of strength" and I simply don't have enough. I put the cut off spring in a vise grip and used channel locks on the hook end...

Ha, sorry, that was a bonehead move! I fixed the camera link in my first post. I’ll upload a photo of the display when I drive home. So far I really like the set up. It’s so hard to see over the giant hood, especially if you are vertically challenged like me, I’ve already found it very useful.

Based on the recommendations in this thread, I installed this Naviks interface after confirming with their customer service it was all I would need to install a front camera with my 8" screen...

Yeah, I’m guessing it’ll be covered under warranty, but I hope I don’t have to buy another after the warranty expires.
