Same here, had planned 2.7 build from July '20 reservation. Then November '21 changed order to go with 2.3 - then got scheduled couple months later
And the 2.3L is a total BEAST ! ! !
Has a lot more power than I need
Yeah with Bronco you wonder about the reliability and hope you got a good one. Prob most are solid with no big trouble - but pray you never need major warranty repairs. Here you don't see good dealer options either - maybe in Salt Lake
Bronco is huge fun to drive & lots more comfortable.
After...
No, for '24 you can't get the 2.3L Auto trans w Badlands - see Order Guide page-17
To get Auto trans in '24 you have to go with 2.7L Badlands, where the non-SQ has the 4.46 gearing
Your non-SQ Badlands is only cheaper if you get the 2.3L Manual - i.e. cheaper than Black Diamond w SQ pkg and...
No and Yes
No, still don't see the Front Locker without the SQ pkg
Yes, it's the non-SQ Auto trans Badlands that gets the 4.46 gearing. The 7spd Manual does have 4.7, thx
Badlands always had Baja from the beginning - but no Sport
Black Diamond also has seven GOAT modes - has Sport but no Baja
Only if you get the Badlands w 7spd Manual, which lots of wheelers don't want. And non-SQ Badlands is missing the 4.7 gearing, and the Front Locker I believe - at least I don't see Front Locker in the Order Guide without the SQ pkg - someone correct me if wrong
For Auto trans, Badlands forces...
Yes, it's really weird about Manual & Mid pkg w BD. @dingle87 mentioned it yesterday. Who knows Ford's reason. But lots of hardcore wheelers only drive Auto trans. Clutches get burned up pretty fast
Off-Roading Choices - '24 Order Guide, B&P
In '24 there's only one Trim for a rugged off-road 2-Door w 2.3L Auto, w Full Bash Plates & Rock-Rails
Black Diamond is the only choice
For rugged off-roading most people want 2-Doors, where the 2.3 is plenty of power. I wouldn't buy a 2.7 cause the...
It turns out ALL the headrests are adjustable
Discovered this in recent 5,000 mile round-trip from Utah to East Coast and back in our '22 BD 2Dr. Got tired of the headrest constantly pushing the back of my head. Just pulled it out and turned it around - Hot Damn ! - so much more comfortable...
Is Capable Bumper now optional ?
It's steel, looks better, & built-in foglights. I prob wouldn't buy a Trim without it
In '24 Prices, how many Trims are now over $10K higher than '21 orders ?
So PP gets the axe - & legacy Reservations have to re-order
Yes, don't want 12" either - avoided 12"...
One of my favorite Bronco features is common to ALL Broncos - no matter how many doors, or which trim, or anything else. It's the fantastic headroom space
After more than three decades hitting my head on the ceiling in my old 4Runner, the great Bronco headroom is a dream
The 2.3L I-4 is a BEAST ! ! !
Just did 5,000 mile round-trip from Utah to East Coast and back - over the Rockies - over the Appalachians - and every step felt the 2.3L had much more power than I needed. Not one second did I ever feel any need for more
Have '22 Black Diamond 2-Door w SQ pkg -...
