Hi there. I'm considering doing something similar, and that trash bag you posted looks perfect for this. Is the police strap necessary, or can you just use the straps included on the bag itself to mount to the side of the tire. Thanks.

Such a beautiful area. We were all really surprised by how lush the desert was out there. It also helped that everything was in full bloom in April after a very rainy winter.
