This is what's holding me back from ordering. Really need to see the XL Long on 35's before pulling the trigger. The XL Long doesn't look too long on 37's with that big lift but I worry it'll be ridiculous on SAS 35's.
On another note, the email from RokBlokz says the link is only good for 48...
Would be great to know if the XL would be enough coverage for Sasquatch or if you really need the XL Long. Seems borderline. The long seems really long so I’d rather roll with the regular for looks. But I’m also tired of washing my car all the time.
And the cashier told me that $10k price was their price, like wholesale. Would have been even more expensive if being billed to a consumer regularly. Either way, pretty pricey.
Sorry to hear about your uncle.
See how long your Bronco ends up being at the dealer. I believe once it hits 31 days you are eligible for reimbursement of a monthly car payment (if you have one.) Maybe they can give you a bunch of FordPass points for the inconvenience, a premium maintenance...
Sorry you are having so much trouble getting a rental or loaner. My dealer didn’t have any loaners but I was able the get the last rental car that Enterprise had available. Hopefully they can work something out for you. If they can’t I’d be sure to ask Ford for compensation.
Picked up my Bronco today with the new engine and fuel pump after 31 days at the dealer. Probably hard to turn it around much faster than that and I do realize that others have been waiting much longer.
Seemed to drive fine on the way home, although I may have a loose proximity sensor up front...
Good luck with yours. It's a bit of a shock at first when you see the two engines on the ground, then it's pretty cool checking them out. Less things to connect to the rest of the car than I would have imagined, which I guess is good?
Popped by the dealer today because I had to turn in my rental (that Ford covered) for a loaner and took a detour into the service bay to check on the Bronco. Let me tell you there's not much left under the hood without the engine there, this thing is big.
They started work on Tuesday, received...
The worst part of this whole blown engine debacle is that around the time I got my Bronco my brother got a Defender and I gave him a lot of grief about the reliability.
This explains why a new fuel pump was needed along with the engine for my replacement.
Is there any functional difference between these -L, -C, -A variants?
Mine had estimated about a week. They pulled the failed engine yesterday (Tuesday) and started work on the new one. Fuel pump arrived today. Word is they are hoping to be done on Friday barring any hiccups.
As #38 on the blown engine list, I've certainly been having a lot of thoughts about what I'd do if I sold the Bronco. Personally, I'd disclose the engine replacement, but I'd also hope that a private buyer of any car would ask about and want to see the maintenance/repair records (I know I'd ask...
Well, here's an update to my first post about the blown engine on 2/14. The new engine arrived on Monday and the dealership was supposed to begin working on it this week. However, they are still waiting on a new fuel pump and trying to expedite delivery. It's supposed to arrive by 3/9. (Not sure...
