I agree with you. I have a MY23 MIC top with the sound deadening headliner. Every day I have these little white flakes everywhere. Am I breathing in this crap? I hate it. Maybe I should vacuum the hard top to see if I can some of the flakes off. And if I do that, will it take care of it...
Oh yeh. Elena Ford. She sent me a dealership survey for the Sales department. (I'm pretty sure she didn't personally send me the survey........I didn't realize she was truly part of the Ford family.)
When you're sitting at idle, and you hear the rattle, have the clutch out. Then move the shifter like you're going to put it into 6th gear. But don't put it in all the way. Just get the shifter so it "touching" the 6th gear. You will probably hear the rattle go away. I tried the other...
I asked the same question to Ford. Basically said...."how do I know if the new transmission I'm getting is going to be a good one or another bad one?" They said......"oh we wouldn't put a bad transmission into your vehicle". ah...........wait a minute..........
Did you happen to note where your engine and tranny were built? Engine Mexico. Tranny China. I just noticed it on the big RETAIL sticker that came with the vehicle.
When I asked my Customer Care Specialist "how will I know if the transmission I'm getting is going to be a good or a bad one?" They said.. "Oh we wouldn't put in a bad transmission.".........still speechless
So are they doing anything special for you other than maybe contacting your dealership and occasionally checking in with you? I’m curious because a case was created for me but came through this forum.
I'm curious to know how you started your case with Ford? Was it created through a Ford reply to one of your posts here? Asking for your VIN and dealer info?

Take offs from my 2023 Badsquatch. Excellent condition, no off-roading, 250 miles. All hardware / brackets included. Located on Cape Cod.
Me too. My dealer opened a claim. New tranny. But was told it's OK to drive. Doesn't feel like it's OK since it sounds like a cement mixer, but I've been driving it maybe 10 miles a day or so. Hasn't gotten better or worse. 258 miles so far...
So I'm with the other 20,000 + waiting for a new tranny. Got told it's on backorder and might be available the end of March. And I can drive it in the meantime. Here we go.
Oh good. I feel a little better that it’s “normal” to be somewhat offset. I’ll have to work on the noise with some great ideas I’ve read here. Thanks for the confirmation.
I have a MY23 Badlands 2DR delivered about 3 wks ago. I noticed the tops don't quite align. There is a slight uplift. I was expecting to see a flatter line between the back of the front panels to the rear panel. I attached pics. You can see how the front is a little higher than the back...
