Good point. I was hoping to have it mounted on the hood to provide “basic” light and could deploy it as needed. It was handy on the jeep because I could use it for tires or under the truck as a trouble light.

I installed one on my TJ Wrangler- I haven’t found a good location on my 2024 HE - any ideas? I’m unsure of best method with the under hood insulation.
