Side note why is the 2.7 less prone to carbon buildup compared to the 2.3? I remember carbon buildup was a big thing when DI engines first came out (BMW, Audi, etc) but doesn't seem to be much of a deal recently. Especially for those that have concurrent port injection.

New 5.0 (since 2018) has been a total disaster with oil consumption...look at the f150 forums. Sad because it is a great engine.

No rock crawling here. Big bend + steel bumper/prerunner hoop + auto + auto 4wd + maybe 2.7. Or maybe black diamond if cheaper in the end. Not totally sold on the vinyl seats yet.

Big bend, awd t case, automatic I will be considering something along those lines with steel bumper and stinger for a daily to replace a grand cherokee.

I do love the factory bull bar / steel bumper option. Just need something that can take a deer strike and still make it home...Fully understand damage will always occur.
