Just to give you a data point that my wildtrak has been sitting for 2 months, took her out for a trip this morning and there's no flat spot, stock SAS tires with 8000 miles on them. Temperature is around 50f
My 2.7 2 door 's MPG got much better after about 4K miles. It was like 15.9MPG avg but now it sits at 17.6MPG, all on 92 gas because it has ford performance tune, and I drive it spiritually.
I wouldn't make the switch to 2.3 for MPG consideration, it's a brick and you lost most of the efficiency...
AGM lasts a long time. In my old Audi S5 it lasts 11 years before I sold that car. Hoping to get at least 8 years from the Bronco. Well if I keep it for that long..
lol dude don't sell your sports car. I was in a similar situation last year when I picked up my bronco. And I sold my Audi S5 and Mercedes E350 to make space for the Bronco. Guess what, I just bought a 2024 M8 Competition Coupe because I miss fast cars
Pic of the M8:
My last AGM battery on my Audi lasted 11 years. I see no reason to use anything else TBH. The battery performed flawlessly during the 11 year period until it died.
My Bronco will go belly up in no time if I drive it the way I drive my BMW lol (I do use blinker when driving the BMW in case you are curious).
Different car different vibe..
I just fire her up and drive. Normal driving will heat the engine up just fine. Just take it easy until the oil temp is about 160F or so. I can't think of a single reason idling would be good for the engine.
I've been doing the same for my other previous/current...
Won't you be more happy if it's the antenna that's hitting the garage ceiling instead of your vehicle's body? I left out my stock antenna as a indicator for clearance....
Ford dealers near me are happy to install mine, one of them even encourage me to get one myself because it would take them too long to get the part, this was from the parts guy so I guess he was just lazy lol.
FYI that labor charge is outrageous, esp for AZ. I live in Seattle and my dealer only charges $200 for installation, and they don't care where do you buy the part (ProCal)
