Makes sense. I'm more worried about snagging the plate with my boot as I'm sneaking past the truck in my garage. The plate on my wife's Pathfinder is notorious for catching on stuff and getting bent out of shape. But maybe the solid back on your bracket will make the difference. Regardless, it's...
I see by default, the plate is perpendicular to the ground. Any reason the plate cannot be bent back to be a little more flush with the bumper? Like what would happen if I were to drive forward into a rock. I'm just thinking how to keep from 'snagging' the plate on things...
When looking for adaptors, what should I be Googling? For example, I use hvac vent mounted air fresheners... It would be neat to move it to a nice tidy place on the rail as I think they are king of an eyesore clipped to the AC vent.
That IS a great story. I don't do much offroading with my 3 young kids, but I'm hoping to fill the void my Honda Element (manual AWD) left when sold it. I needed something that would fit 3 car seats wide... Hoping the new Bronco can fill that void and make up for the things the Element lacked...
My parents had a 92 Bronco (Eddie Bauer Edition) when I was learning to drive. Was the 'nicer' of the vehicles I got to drive after I got my license. How would you compare your new Bronco to that? At 16, I thought the V8 (302ci I believe) was gutless.
+1 for me too.
The thing I don't understand is having a PTS (push to start) vehicle without the controls on the outside of the car to lock/unlock (standard package). We have a base model Nissan Pathfinder with PTS and no door unlock/lock. It is INCREDIBLY stupid to fish the keys out of your...
Is this really a thing? Most new vehicles 'phone home' with daily/weekly reports. As someone who works in that industry, I can tell you for sure that is a thing...
I had read some pages back that Granger was ~$700 less than some other TC dealer. I figure 6 months had passed between that post and mine, so not likely a relevant number anymore. A lot more will likely change in the next 6 months.... If I'm saving $2500, I'll find some way to sell a vacation...
That's kind of my thought. I could save $700 and drive to Iowa, but then am I paying taxes in Iowa and MN? But I'd take $1k in accessories and not have to lug 3 young kids and a crabby wife 8 hours round trip to pick up a car.
Now I just need to find someone in the SW metro with a 7sp manual...
Welp, I think I've decided to jump on the bandwagon. I'm going to try and place my order for a '23 model here at the end of summer... hopefully some of the craziness of ordering has settled and Ford has worked out the kinks (supply chain issues).
I was leaning towards ordering from Morries as...
Can you snap a quick picture of this 'button'? I didn't see it when I sat in the Bronco at my local dealer. My Ram has physical buttons for the front/rear to make it easy to turn them on/off when I'm towing or they ice over in the winter.
