Thanks for that post. I went through it, pulled out the dealer DIO bulletin, and sent it to my dealership. I also wrote to Ford about the dealerships response.

The dealership just called me back and said it's an extremely difficult top to put on and it's going to take hours to install and would cost me about $1,000!!! I pushed back of course, and sent an image of my window sticker to the Service Manager. Stay tuned......

Same here. Diagnosed at mileage 19. Had 1200 miles when they finally got around to replacing the whole tranny. No noise. I'm at 2100 miles and still no noise.

Are you concerned about the contact points between the lift and the hard top causing any damage by the pressure? I read some folks using a square piece of plywood that touches all the contact points and having that in between the lift and the top.

That's how I feel too. I got the "A" installed this week. (eeek) But right now, 30 miles later, no noise. And if it comes back, I'll have them put in another one. Easy peezy lemon squeezie.

UPDATE Brought the Bronco in first thing on 5/15 and picked it up the next day, end of day. The Ford Customer Careless Specialist said it was the new transmission. The Service Advisor Rep said it was the new transmission. The customer service invoice says MB3Z*7003*A. o_O So far, no noise...

Did they give you a part number for the transmission?

So the stealership called last Tues 5/9 to tell me the new transmission was set to arrive at the Ford warehouse on Fri 5/12. And from there, it's supposed to go to a Distribution Center to determine which tranny goes where, then off to shipping. Stealership calls 2 days later Thu 5/11, and...
