  1. how awful is it that ford won't even let you buy BLIS on the base model

The answer is regulation to mandate that these features be available on all trims rather than allowing corporations to charge a premium for safety. It's a clear case of not hating the player, but hating in the game.
  2. how awful is it that ford won't even let you buy BLIS on the base model

I'm kinda confused about what you're arguing for. Is it that you feel that every car, even the most basic of models, should have certain safety features and a blind-spot avoidance system is one of those? Are there others? Like what? What should an entry level car cost? How does a company...
  3. First Edition Bronco Will Have Navy Pier Interior Option Only

The truth is more interesting: http://oplaunch.com/blog/2015/04/30/the-truth-about-any-color-so-long-as-it-is-black/ Nate
  4. Catalytic Converter Theft (Warning: Potential Stupid Question)

Not a stupid question at all. Looking around the webs, it looks like a cover is your best option. Secured nuts/castle nuts/etc do little if the "tool" for extraction is a sawsall. A nice thick piece of steal and maybe some rivets or those weird bathroom stall security screws holding it all in...
  5. First Edition Bronco Will Have Navy Pier Interior Option Only

Dear Ford, Thank you very much for the Lincoln Aviator. My wife, Mackenzie loves it and really appreciates the blue exterior, which she tells me, she always wanted. Since you've asked and I know that you care, I'd like to take this opportunity to let you know exactly what I'd like, color-wise...
  6. First Edition Bronco Thread

I'm disappointed but not surprised. It's a special edition vehicle. You get what you get. And, as I've said before, my main gripe isn't the lack of interior color options, or even that I dislike the navy pier (I don't and am waiting to see it to really make that call). No, my main gripe is that...
  7. Motor Trend On Jeep vs Bronco

Just smile and wave, y'all. Just smile and wave.
  8. The Dog Thread 🐾

    Bodhi the golden-doodle. He's a good boy.
  9. First Edition Bronco bumped up to 7,000 production limit!

True or false: could someone option a wildtrack with all of the features of a FE minus the interior color? If true, what makes the FE special? A small discount over the highly optioned wildtrack? The badging, hood, and side decals? The interior? If false? Then I guess you have one of two...
  10. Why is the Toyota 4runner "behind?"

Had a Limited before my JL. I don't think I ever once turned around as I was walking away to check it out. Capable. Dependable. And so, so, so, sooooooo boring. It's easily 5 years past a major upgrade or discontinuation. Nate
  11. As more and more pictures come out, are you changing your mind on which spec you want?

Yeah, like you say, it'll come down to pricing and ADM. I know that a badlands+squach+high will do everything I need and more and would be a perfect replacement for my Rubicon. Right now I have both an FE and a Wildtrack reserved; the latter from a no-ADM dealership, the former hasn't committed...
  12. Perfectly Content?

Yes. More, than content in fact. I've been waiting for this for years. Ford did a great job and, in places they fell short, the aftermarket will provide. Nate
  13. First Edition Bronco bumped up to 7,000 production limit!

Oh lord. A couple of thoughts: 1) Ford doesn't owe any of us anything. You don't like it, don't buy it. The $100 you put down is refundable. Just pop back onto their site and reserve a Wildtrack. Which is EXACTLY what I did a few day ago. When the time comes to order it, If you don't like how...
  14. First Edition Bronco bumped up to 7,000 production limit!

FYI Fiasco has an extremely interesting etymology. People dying. Things starting on fire. Anyhow, blue interior aside (and understanding that we really don't know what the future holds) they're INCREASING availability, this isn't because less people want them. Nate
  15. Explain your choice. Tell us what model you chose and why!

Four door First Edition. Why? Vanity. Ability. Selfishness. Excitement. Mortality. In no particular order. Nate
  16. Doors Off: A Sticky Situation

I'll be damned. Thanks! I foresee color-matched removable vinyl pieces to cover whatever nonsense may be cluttering up my Bronco's door jamb.
  17. Doors Off: A Sticky Situation

I hear you about disliking the various required automotive stickers. When I get a new car (or a new-to-me used car), at the very least, the stickers on the sun visors get covered and any dealership stickers come off. Hate em.
