    I ended up with the High PKG instead of LUX. Decided that if I'm road tripping, I'll take my wife's Q5 TDI. She like the Bronco more than she thought and won't mind driving it if I'm out of town with her vehicle.

    Same here. My wife drives an Audi Q5 TDI(She loves that car) and I traded my A6 TDI for the Bronco. Good thing is the Diesel nozzle is much larger and won't fit in the Bronco fill neck. Only reason the OP had the issue is wrong tank fill at the station.
