Torque and MPG. What is what I want out of my Engine/Drivetrain combo.
No reason a modern SUV should be getting under 25MPG, especially compacts or standards.
It is competing with the Wrangler, which right now has a premium (ridiculous) price point. They have some space to undercut Jeep. We'll see soon enough.
I have kids and prefer they not jump the sides, or have to put the seat forward all the time.
I grew up around Wranglers and FJ40. While it is kinda cool as a teen, as a parent 4 doors are the way to go.
This model I could live with for sure.

But, the body is spot on, and the lines are beautiful.
Really? Who uses a Wrangler to tow a car? Wranglers GET towed behind huge RVs.
It needs to be able to tow 2 snowmobiles, ATVs, or a reasonably sized boat.
Lots of posters here from the South where it is too hot to take the top off for long. ;)

OK. I'm in here. Kids get the 2007 Highlander in a couple years and I was leaning towards Jeep 4dr as its replacement.
For the warranty, modern tech, and modern materials, I would buy newer over building or buying a classic.
To be fair, for the money the Rubicon pretty much matches any old...
