  1. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

Oh ok sweet it uses the same T channel mounting method as most other tents. Yeah it'll be an easy install without the roof panels on. Just remove the front 3 (I did it while at the person's house who I picked up the NIB tent from and just laid them in their lawn lol). If the M8 hex cap bolts...
  2. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

What tent are you buying? I need to film a YouTube video and was thinking of filming my "1 Year of Ownership" type of video so I can showcase the tent and how it's mounted for you (also how to remove the roof panels)
  3. Tailgate rattle TSB for 2021-2022 Broncos built on or before July 25, 2022

I wonder if that's what I have. It's random and intermittent (not all bumps make it happen). It legit sounds like a loud "CRACK"
  4. Roof Rack Idea/Question

It's pretty noisy but in my thread, I've got the mods on there and it's made it much much quieter. Back to the normal road noise of our broncos!
  5. Roof Rack Idea/Question

Yep the front 3 panels all come off. The middle one comes off just the same as the front two. You unlatch it and lift slights and pull out between the roll bar and roof rack. Super easy - no real trick to it.
  6. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

Yeah I'll actually make a walkaround video here soon about the tent/rack and how the bronco is sitting currently.
  7. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

Fixed it! Pretty easy. I'd say my technique was wrong. When you install it - push up into the fairing as well as into it. So sort of pushing back toward the rear of the car and up into the groove diagonally. That's what really helped me get it to lay flat. I knew it could look way cleaner...
  8. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

I appreciate it! Another option would be to PPF that section too. Wouldn't be expensive at all and I'm sure you could DIY it.
  9. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

Not at all, it’s just rubber
  10. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

I don’t know which one individually since I did both at the same time. They should take care of you, let me know if not.
  11. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

Wow ! Yours looks wayyy better! Maybe I need to lay mine flat and use a heat gun? I’ll try again tonight when it isnt 100* lol
  12. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

I've taken the middle panel off many times. If you look at my post when I first got my roof top tent I had the front 3 panels off.
  13. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

So I ordered the stuff from other reviews. Seems to be working, just need to figure out how to make the one on the front fairing to look a little less....jank. Filled in the first two crossbars as they're currently empty - love how professional this looks (don't mind the dirt lol). This...
  14. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

    Yeah it's larger than a King-sized bed when it's open. According to their site, it's 74"x55"x13" closed. 93" x 74" when opened.
  15. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

Also want to note that it feels extremely stable up there in the tent! Excited to go out on some adventures this summer!
  16. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

Got a Roofnest Condor XL! I love the way it fits on top and it folds out to a King size. To be able to take the roof panels off with the roof top tent on I got 30mm M8 bolts - no problem after that just as before! Also, here are some pics with the front 3 roof panels off for proof.
  17. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

Two quick callouts: The front fairing and side pieces are all steel. The extruded cross bars are aluminum. Someone else asked me about that, so wanted to share it here as well. The added height from the roof is 4" at the top of the button-head Allen screw. Keep in mind stock Broncos come...
  18. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

It's definitely worth the test at this price point. Keep in mind it will reduce your MPG slightly, but again, I'm on 37s and heavy bead locks so it's not like I'm the most fuel-efficient to begin with. For reference when I was completely stock with the sasquatch package and my driving style, I...
