My softtop is the same way (Dec 2021 build). I just assumed it rose over the rear so you wouldn’t rub paint with the constant sliding on/off with the top.
I am convinced it is a software issue with Ford. I had the same issues so I keep my wifi off and only connect through the hard wire. That fixes it for me - a bit of a hassle when first starting the truck but more reliable for driving and maps.
I had a similar experience with the Ford dealer when I took my 2022 Big Bend in for the factory recall on the windshield. I’ll post some pictures later but up to now it still hasn’t been resolved by Ford.
