  1. Realizing my dreams

Just one caveat here. Yes, there's unlimited upside, but there's also the overwhelming possibility that your business will fail within the first couple years and you'll end up bankrupt. I think OP would be better served seeking a higher paying job in his field rather than gambling on his own...
  2. Realizing my dreams

Follow-up. I don't know what your exact skill set is, but if you have facilities maintenance experience, there's jobs in my area that are paying $25/hr starting for facility maintenance in distribution centers. Sometimes more than that since there's so much demand with all the warehouses being...
  3. Man but FSBs have gone up in price

My dad still daily drives his 2003 7.3 F350. It's got somewhere around 300k on it. We have a gentleman's agreement between him, myself, and my brother, that if he ever gets a new truck (which is going to happen soon since they're retiring to tour the country via 5th wheel) that we get first...
  4. Realizing my dreams

How do you create more income? Well, the long and short of is you either work for a place that has an aggressive promotion schedule, or you find a different career path. There's only so many hours in a day a person can physically work. 80+ hours sounds like an early death sentence, so I'm...
  5. 2021 Bronco 1:8 RC found at Walmart

Speaking of...Anybody else into (real) RC as a hobby? I have an Arrma Kraton 6S with a bunch of bolt-ons. There is something incredibly fun about hucking 20lbs of car off a skateboard ramp at 40+mph Also have a couple planes but they're in various states of upgrade at the moment and non-flyable.
  6. Ford college discount

    Stupid wasted edjumacation
  7. What’s your dealbreaker for new Ford Bronco?

Not for the bronco itself, but I had my heart set on a two door. it seems you can only get that with a 16ish gallon tank, where the 4 door gets a 20. Even at (it'll never happen) 23mpg that's only 370 miles on a full, run to empty tank. Realistically I think we're going to see about 17mpg out...
  8. Ford college discount

I've long since graduated from undergrad. Wonder if I can survey a course at the local CC and get a badge with a student number... hmmmm
  9. Articulation vs traction aids and clearance.

I posted this in another thread, and like the OP, I don't own a crawler, but I have been around them and in them a lot. Neither the new Bronco, nor the Rubicon are rock crawlers. They are trail rigs. Now, some trails do have rocks and ruts to get over and through, but the limiting factor in...
  10. Why are you choosing the Bronco over competitors like 4Runner and Wrangler?

I drive a '16 Tacoma right now. The engine is fine, and it actually builds pretty decent power. Problem is you have to drive it like a 4 banger. You can't drive it thinking it's like the old 4.0 V6s we were all used to. If you turn off the ECT mode and romp on it, it gets up and goes.
  11. Delivery - Get Ready to Wait

I just went to the jeep website and priced out a mojave. You can get that thing up to about $60k with a few (what I would consider mandatory) options. Not a bad looking desert runner though.

But there was no 96 Wra.....ahhh haha

  14. New Ford Bronco Crew-Cab Pickup Being Fast-Tracked To Take On The Jeep Gladiator: Report

That's why there's different forums...If you don't want to discuss the possibility of a pickup truck, there's plenty of other forums to check out.
  15. New Ford Bronco Crew-Cab Pickup Being Fast-Tracked To Take On The Jeep Gladiator: Report

Agreed. For what I paid for my Tacoma out the door ($42k) I could put a small lift, add lockers, onboard air, new tires, and not even come close to the rubicons MSRP
  16. New Ford Bronco Crew-Cab Pickup Being Fast-Tracked To Take On The Jeep Gladiator: Report

Price could be a reason. I went and looked at them when they came out, and the Rubicons were like $68k before TTL https://www.lithiachryslerreno.com/new/Jeep/2020-Jeep-Gladiator-for-sale-Reno-NV-3d2037fc0a0e0a1774ba5a3b7d4089cf.htm Here's one for $60k, so either I was looking at one with some...
  17. 2021 Bronco delivery now "targeted to begin June 2021" and possibly into 2022

It's very hard to beat Toyota's reputation on reliability (I drive a Tacoma right now) If they brought the Taco or the new 4Runner out with front and rear lockers and a swaybar disconnect and set the whole thing on 33" tires, it'd be a no brainer. As much as I loved taking the doors and roof...
  18. New Ford Bronco Crew-Cab Pickup Being Fast-Tracked To Take On The Jeep Gladiator: Report

Love it in theory, but my god is that thing ugly.
  19. 2021 Bronco delivery now "targeted to begin June 2021" and possibly into 2022

Interesting. Two years from now is a long time. I'm not a brand loyalist at all. I preordered the Bronco because its the best factory offroad vehicle going right now. This gives Toyota and Jeep plenty of time to launch a competing product. At the very least, we're looking for a refreshed...
  20. WA State Check-In

What's up, WA? I've lived there off and on since '85 (Everett, Echo Lake (Snohomish), Mukilteo, Arlington, Bellingham, Renton). Currently reside in NV, but most of my family is still up there. When I get my Bronco, I'm for sure going to drive it up there to show mum and dad. Hopefully a...
