  1. Instead of clicking “Refresh”.....

I had to get away from the Forum, so I am starting to load all my favorite trails, trails that I want to run, and trails that I MIGHT run into my Gaia Map (Gaia GPS) account. That way I can load them into the Bronco’s navigation once it gets here. Making waypoints for overlooks, technical...
  2. A Reverse Bronco Easter Egg

A new Bronco pic on my 67 Bronco ham radio. Keeping myself busy and trying not to worry about what I can’t control with my new order.
  3. Tube bender finished. Another die on its way.

After a couple years of not having a tubing bender, I was finally able to replace it. Last week My brother and I fabbed up a mounting pedestal and mounted the hydraulic ram to it. I bought a 1 5/8 die with it (racecar stuff) and just ordered a 1.25 die for the small stuff. My first project is...
  4. Off-Road 72 Hour Bag

As I continue to reset my off-road rig for wheeling, I pulled my 72 hour bag and went through the contents, refreshing batteries, charging devices and swapping out some of the food. I wouldn't call myself a prepper, but the vehicle recovery organization I belong to requires a 72 hour bag that...
  5. My Recovery Gear Set-up

I returned from Moab this week and had to readjust my gear for the Suzuki's normal role as a recovery vehicle. Since I had to pull it all out of the bags to verify condition and completeness, I decided to share my gear and some general recovery gear/safety thoughts. YMMV; Your gear will vary...
  6. Dixie Expo Ford Display - hydraulic sway bar disconnect & Bronco builds highlights (4WP / RTR)

Here are some pictures and some thoughts on the Broncos on display here in Moab at Dixie Expo: A couple pictures of the hydraulic sway bar disconnect. Some don't think it makes much difference, but when you are off-road, you want all the wheel travel you can get. I didn't get out to see the...
  7. Bronco 2.7L Engine Pictures From Moab

I figure these will come in handy later when people are trying to identify where things are located or what certain things are. Since it was a nice sunny day and no engine bay to get in the way, I took these for reference:
  8. (Another) Moab FE ride-along opinion

After almost two weeks and 4 or 5 emails, I was finally able to reserve a time-slot for a Bronco ride-along. When I arrived for my Wednesday ride-along, they had accidently scheduled it for a Bronco Sport Driving Experience. While I looked for my confirmation email, I noticed that they had sent...
  9. Inspected Cactus Gray

I had been trying to see a Cactus Gray vehicle for over a month without success. With the introduction of Lightning Blue, my mind was made up. Today I saw a new ranger at a gas station. I drove up and spoke to the owner. The color is nice. I was worried it looked too much like primer, but it...
  10. Colorado FE gloss black mirrors and grille for badlands matte gille and mirrors. Sasquatch flares for standard

LOL. Man, this is an early ad! Looking to swap grille and mirrors. My Gloss black parts would look great on a modular top, but look a bit off on a MIC top. Plans are to get a white top when available. Will also be trying to get the standard flares instead of the Sasquatch flares. Just...
  11. Tire chains purchases begun

Just picked up the first pair of tire chains for 37” tires. Next set will be v-bars. Tires and wheels will be ordered soon. Probably should decide at some point FE or BL.... :)
  12. HPTUNERS announces availability to tune the 1.5 Sport

Looking forward to the day I get to play with my Bronco on the dyno!
  13. Happy Coincidences?

As I finalize my build plans (always subject to change), I realized today that my truck is going to be due for new tires (285/70R17) this coming year. I am also swapping my Samurai axles over to Toyotas (6x5.5). If I buy the BL, skip the Sasquatch, I can have new tires for my pickup, rims for...
  14. Only Wild Trak and FE showing these advanced trail features.

Looking through the individual features (under power and handling), I see that only the Wild Trak and First Edition has Trail control, Trail turn assist and Trail one pedal driving. Also see that Sasquatch option removes paint film protection and other crazy things.
