Just because I'm being picky - you said the screen "is...1080p, or perhaps higher. Heck, it could be 2k." 1080p is 2k.
1080p = 1920 x 1080
"4k" = 3840 x 2160
They went from naming based on vertical resolution (1080) to horizontal (3840) when 4k came out. I'm sure they wish they used "2k" from...
I wouldn’t sweat it. I was the guinea pig for my own install, with a lot fewer tools available. The one thing I’d check after install is the wiring - you can eyeball their wiring and compare it to the instructions. That was a difficult part and if a wire frays inside your engine bay it could be...
Brings back memories. I was out there with my wife last year - we had Anthony as our instructor. It was a great time and coming from Virginia where there's so much forestry, it was awesome to off-road in such open space.
I’ll be honest, I only put them on after my Ford dealer mentioned it when rotating my tires. They said it’ll cause wear and vibration. I never felt the vibration, but I’ll take them at their word on the wear. For $30 it doesn’t hurt the wallet.
I like to rationalize it as taking some load off...
I reached out to Method first and they said they didn't provide them, at least not for the Bronco fitmet.
I went ahead and ordered the rings from my OP. Put them on yesterday. Almost died trying to put those 37" tires back on in this blistering VA summer heat. But it's all back together...
I put the IAG skids on my Wildtrak. I notice the lost clearance when on the trails, but with the thickness I am confident when scraping over those rocks. I’ve been happy with losing a bit of clearance in trade for peace of mind - I’m sure you will be, too.
Lights - I put some Baja Design fogs...
I bought Method 703 wheels with 0 offset a while back. Recently got a service and was advised to get "hub centering rings" to help with tire wear. I'm looking for confirmation of what I need because I couldn't find them for sale from Method.
Method says their wheels' bore size is 106.25...
Totally. I routed my wires first without removing the liner, then redid it all with removing the liner and it was so much cleaner. (To be clear, I just folded up the front of the liner)
Getting the cables right took a lot longer than I anticipated, but it's worth the time. Reading about the fire hazards was concerning. My big recommendation is to simply follow the wiring diagram from the instructions - there are a lot of different ways you can go but the diagram is the safest.
Compared to any GPS apps on my phone, my 37" tires are about 5% off. If the speedo says 60, GPS says 63, etc. Not a dealbreaker but certainly not accurate. But I guess my odometer will be 5% less than actual so....win win?
Man, I'm just going to put this out there. I haven't been able to drive my Bronco since Feb 1 when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor after a seizure. My beautiful Bronco has been sitting in my driveway ever since. But it all gave me time to finally put the winch on! B6G has been one of main...
How easy is it to find your way around AOAA? I want to try a Blue guided run my first time up there. It's a long haul for me, though (a few hours+). BTW I never even considered how scraped the BRaptor flares would get on a trail. That has to hurt!
