That was actually going to be my question. Through thousands of posts about these tops, whose fault is it at the end of the day? Is Ford forcing Webasto to make these tops using cheap materials resulting in these issues? It's just hard to believe that they've been in business for a century with...
So first, it sounds like you got it up the rear without any lube and then they apologized and invited you to a make-up dinner but then they left you with the bill. Not sure how you were made right by the situation, but hey, congrats?
The Raptor R is going to use the GT500's V8. I can all but guarantee that you'll never see that in a Bronco and there are plenty of turbo engines available in Ford's lineup to provide the hp and torque.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. Along with the constant delays and issues, I had a chance to drive one and was underwhelmed by the paint issues and sea of cheap plastic inside. The 2.7 didn't seem as strong as everyone said who drove one either. I look forward to buying one, but it won't be...
That's not uncommon. My dealership required a $900 deposit so the total was $1000 when you figured in the $100 fee that Ford charged for the reservation. I knew at the time that I wouldn't be cancelling so it was a non-issue for me.
Sounds like a nice build. Let me know when you figure out when it arrives, if you happen to be traveling, I'm happy to stop in to the dealer and take it home.
If the CG looked like it does on Ford's website, I'd be all in but it doesn't look as good in person. I'm normally not a red person but the Rapid Red looks great. Tough decision.
My order is in for a WT in Cactus Gray though I think I'm switching to a BL since I hate the seats in the WT. Also considering switching to VB color as well. It looks so good.
Totally agree on the bulletproof reliability but the 270HP engine could use a 50hp bump and the interior would look great if it were 2012. I love the 4Runners but those are the 2 biggest things holding me back.
Aside from the Toyota reliability, I'd have a tough time plopping down cash on a 4-Runner, Tacoma, or Tundra until the redesigns come out. They are overdue for updated transmissions, engines, and interiors. Great resale though. Enjoy your new truck!
You forgot to call me Karen again. You really got me there.
I have a feeling that we’ll all be seeing your rage tomorrow. Oh wait, you’re not triggered at all. My advice, stock up on some booze because the email tomorrow probably won’t be good. Until tomorrow good sir….
Haha I’m newer to the forum so I don’t want to be that guy who engages in a endless argument with someone so I’ll leave it at 3 posts. I’m still trying to recover from those “Karen” insults though.
Derp, nIcE BMW btw. Wow that was original. This must be the first time in history that a car has used an engine from a different manufacturer. Oh wait. I guess I could view your profile to see where you live but that would mean I’d have to care first.
Lol keep telling yourself that. I made an innocuous statement that I had no choice but to wait and that seemed to really get you riled up. It’s really strange. You then followed that up by calling me a Johnny Come Lately. Again…strange. Tell me, what was it about my comment that made you so...
