  1. New Bronco Owner Antenna questions

I put a dirt cheap Amazon one on as I only use it once in a while and wanted the clearance. Does not work well in the mountains, but I keep the OEM one in the back just in case (although have never used it, 99% of the time I stream my favorite radio station on my phone from hundreds of miles away).
  2. Snow chains needed for Big Bear trip? Have SAS

Thirty years ago, we had a 4wd Explorer with Michelin M+S tires as the family truckster, and our weekend home in Tahoe on a ridgeline at 7,500'. We had actual chains for the Explorer, and needed them on the front tires for braking and steering in the worst of the storms. But tire tech...
  3. Off-Roadeo Nevada TODAY 5/17!

We rented a car. It was kind of a pain with the shuttle, etc. at the airport. I'd look for an in town location if you can. One couple took an Uber, but the driver would not take them past the entrance gate off the highway. Lucky for them a late arriving couple stopped to ask if they were okay...
  4. Off-Roadeo Nevada TODAY 5/17!

We went last week, enjoy! If you don't hit 35 mph on the Baja run you suck.
  5. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

After riding along with M'lady at the Off Rodeo last week, finally got around to adding Baja and Rock Crawl to the GOAT modes on our Base. Used the plain text version vice 'as built' to edit the modules with FORScan for the first time, worked flawlessly!
  6. Yay! Adding my MIC top failure to the list!

Got mine back today after two weeks at the dealer. New top gives a bit of that new car smell to my '23 with 23k miles! Bonus!
  7. Yay! Adding my MIC top failure to the list!

Top of the grade. I use Capital in Carson, but I don't particularly like them, to the point of considering someplace on the west side of the Sierra's.
  8. Yay! Adding my MIC top failure to the list!

Enough items piled up on the Bronco, including a cracked top, to take it to the dealer this week. New top expected in six days.
  9. For Anyone Wanting Smoking Deals, Bronco Raptors Are About To Free Fall In Price

$75,250 plus shipping, pretty close to that one above (but a much sexier color ).
  10. BEWARE ICE!!

Mine has slipped a bit on the slightly inclined icy parking lot here on the mountain. Putting on the parking brake seems to help, for whatever reason. KO2's.
  11. Idea for someone, defrost vent plugs

No, Bryan, Brian is saying that when you select floor only on the main HVAC controls, the side vents that blow on the SIDE windows (not the windshield) still have significant flow, taking away heat from the floor. Brian, a workaround is to select both floor and dash vents on the control panel...
  12. Photos of Snow Tires on Stock Wheels?

Don't you mean 315/70-17 for an OBX?
  13. PSA - Get a transmission skid plate or replace the plastic pan

Asfir got right back to me today after asking what specific pan I needed for my Base 2.7, so I ordered one from them, along with a nice red rear tow hook to get free shipping. There are 5% coupons readily available online. Thanks to @SixEighty680 for the PSA!
  14. Base SAS 2.7 Modifications

I have been very happy with my Base Non-SAS when off-roading in challenging but not super technical conditions. I am shopping for a transmission skid plate, given the knowledge that the pan is a critical failure point, as posted elsewhere recently.
  15. Summer Tires & Winter Tires recommendation for West Michigan ?

Dedicated winter tires with triple peak rating are a must around here. I had no problem this winter with my BFG KO2's I bought as Badland take off's (including the rims). I liked the look, they ride pretty well, and the MPG only dropped about 1.0, so I just kept them on this summer. I still...
  16. "200 Days" of Inventory on the Lot

A friend calls a few days ago to pick my brain on Broncos. I waxed poetic about my frugal experience with my Base 2dr. He bought a 2023 BRaptor. Sumbeetch, dead to me!
  17. Nevada FS: 2DR Canvas No-flap Bikini (black) New in Box!

So, Sierra Nevada, specifically Lake Tahoe. We live on a ridge at 7,500 ft. I spend a lot of time at my shop in the valley at 4,700 ft. That lends itself to having to wear three layers of clothing in the shoulder seasons. I can wake up to 40*, drive down the mountain to 55*, and by mid-day...
