Oh really, why is that? I'm assuming because it's annoying when people call, or you get a notification, and it interrupts the audio! I just prefer to have as few devices as possible... I'm a minimalist with that type of stuff.:LOL::LOL:
Yep the Quad DAC on those looks amazing! I'm going to see if someone at the audio shop has one of those to test the difference against my current Samsung A71 5G phone. If the difference is minimal, I'll stick with the Samsung, but if I notice a huge difference, I'll swap mine out for the LG. I...
So I was looking at DAPs, and it seems the FiiO KA17 is a pretty good one. I'm only going to be streaming music via Amazon, so I'm not worried at all about the storage capacity. Also, I read that the LG v60 smartphone has a high-quality built in DAP. The LG is around $50 more than the Fiio...
I can hear a HUGE difference since upgrading. I also switched from YouTube Music to Amazon the other day, and the improvement in sound quality is very noticeable. I just ordered the Helix USB interface, which lets you connect your phone directly to the DSP / amplifier and completely bypass the...
Ordered the Helix USB Interface yesterday from the audio shop and also got a mini-USB-to-USB-C adapter, a 20-foot USB-C cable from Chubby Cable, and a UGreen USB-C hub. I'm excited to hear the difference! The Bluetooth module is great too, and most people probably can't hear a difference in...
Here is mine which I had installed in 2023... I wouldn't say it's SUPER high end, but it's pretty damn good! I actually just ordered the Helix USB Interface which allows you to connect directly from your device to the DSP / amplifier and bypass the OEM head unit. I'll probably get it installed...
GM needs to bring back the 2-door Tahoe / Yukon. I had one in High School and loved it! The new body styles just look awful... I think 2006 is the last year GM SUVs looked good.
Got it... I don't drive long distances that much and the A71 has a long battery life, so I might just get a USB hub later on. Definitely going to get the Helix USB interface though, want to milk out that last bit of audio quality!
I just need to get a USB-C hub along with the Helix interface because it doesn't support charging. I'm looking at the Anker and Vhedia, unless you have a better suggestion?

Vhedia...
Thanks... not sure if I need to actually download the tracks because Amazon Music streaming is already in the higher bit rate. I can test it out though, see if a downloaded song is clearer vs a streamed one.
I had it installed and tuned professionally by Audiomaster here in Austin, Texas and they suggested the upgrade when I went in the other week to have the Autostop Eliminator installed. I already can hear a noticeable difference with Amazon Music, so I'm curious to see what the Helix USB module...
Makes sense, especially because mine has a soft top with a lift and 37s! I do notice a difference in sound quality since switching from YouTube Music to Amazon, so I might just leave it at that. I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars for a minor improvement in sound quality.
Appreciate the detailed response, your setup looks great too! I have the Helix Conductor mounted up front next to the USB port, which is connected directly to the Helix V Eight DSP. From what I understand, the Helix USB interface is installed directly into the V Eight and I will have to run a...
I didn't ask for his last name, but I believe it's Jeff Smith based on my search, see the link below.

@Area51BS is the contact you provided Jeffrey Hald or Jeff Smith?
Thanks! So with the Helix device, you connect directly to it via Bluetooth rather than from the head unit? The audio shop said I won't be able to control volume on the head unit, only from my phone, but that seems okay for an appreciable sound quality gain.
What about the Helix USB interface...
I exchanged more emails with Jeff yesterday, and he said the best streaming service for my phone (Samsung Galaxy A71 5G Android) is Amazon Music. I subscribed to it and cancelled YouTube. I can already tell the audio is higher quality with my current system! It's only a couple of dollars more...
Thanks! I just sent Jeff an email and am curious to hear his response. One problem is that I always listen to music on YouTube Premium, which has a 256 kbps AAC bit rate. The source audio quality might not be high enough to really take advantage of the Helix module.
Hello,
I had the Autostop Eliminator installed, and it works great; however, I still get the notification when I turn on my Bronco. Is there any way to disable the startup notification? I was able to disable the 'Check Rear Seats' notification, but I'm not sure if it's possible for this.
Thanks
