Based on what I have seen on b&p, I’d would expect automotive carpet, something you would think is cheap, but then you will probably be able to buy some plastic rear-seat “armor” for $500 as an accessory

I think we should be able to purchase a auto dimming mirror with home link buttons aftermarket and install ourselves... though I’ve never done it myself.

Hey guys. I’m leaning Base, where Mid package is not an option, obviously. What items can we do ourselves for a reasonable price without mid, Lux? Remote start using new Fob possible? Auto dimming rear view mirror? Ambient interior lighting? Fog lights (w/aux switches)?

I will only be purchasing options which are integrated into the vehicle. Any of the accessories seem to be significantly higher priced than if you just bought when you get home. Even the keypad can be purchase from the dealership for 25% less than b&p cost.

I’ve messed around a lot with trims and options just for S&G, that I definitely don’t plan on buying so not sure how accurate that will convert to actual purchases.

I think on a 4dr wrangler they run abt $1800 installed. IMO, I may never even need to change them and if I do, I can get the design I want, not Fords very limited color selection

For the cost to upgrade to a vinyl or leather trim, I’ll probably stick with cloth, spray some scotchgaurd, and replace with leather down the road if needed

It’s molded in color, same material throughout... they aren’t going to paint the inside brown

Is that something that manufactures really care about and have done in the past? I have never heard of auto parts being restricted based on your vin, especially if you install it yourself. worst case I’ll give you the vin for my base to use :)
