The only problem I would see is if you rested your arm on the cover for any period of time you will end up with an impression of "Since 1966"

Might I suggest if you are going to use topographic map contour lines as your motif that your designers understand how they work. Contour lines only have ends unconnected if they run off the edge of the map, never at random in the field of the map.
