Figured I’ll kill four birds with one photo.

Added Ford Performance hood struts. About 30 minutes. Thread locker on the bolts included. This is the second set I’ve done and both times had nightmares about dropping the bolts down behind the fender but I’m two for two.

Added front Weathertech mud guards. Rears are still on back order. Took about an hour. Their instructions need a minor update. The bottom, innermost mounting hole does not have a hole in the fender liner. Easy enough to resolve with an awl and careful alignment.

Tried a glass mount antenna for my mobile radio. Was not impressed with the performance so I went back to my Rugged Radio mirror mount. Very pleased and the only drilling that had to be done to the plastic mirror cover trim, which is replaceable for about $40.

Lastly, I did my first application of Exoforma permashine tire coating. Not sure I like it. I like the way it looks, but the solution collects in the crevices of the "GOOD YEAR" letters. Kind of a pain to get out. Much more controlled application than your typical "tire shine" sprays. Supposed to last longer and not splatter the vehicle so I'll run it for a while before I give it a place on my cleaning supply shelf.

Quick rinse and wipe down and she’s good for the next downpour.
