Since launching the Broaddict Overhead MOLLE Panel System for the Ford Bronco 4-Door, we’ve received a number of practical questions about fitment, installation, wiring, lighting, and included hardware.
To make things easier, we’ve gathered the most frequently asked questions into one master thread.
If you’re planning an installation, start here before introducing a wrench to your Bronco.

FITMENT & COMPATIBILITY
Q: Is the Overhead MOLLE Panel System compatible with Bronco Raptor models?
A: No. This product is not compatible with Bronco Raptor models.
Q: Is the system compatible with both hard-top and soft-top Broncos?
A: Yes. The system is compatible with both hard-top and soft-top models.
INSTALLATION
Q: Is drilling or cutting required during installation?
A: No drilling or cutting is required. The system installs using the Bronco’s existing factory mounting holes.
Q: Do I need to remove the factory B-pillar brace?
A: No. Only the plastic B-pillar trim cover needs to be removed. The factory B-pillar brace remains in place.
Q: What tools and hardware are included?
A: The package includes:
A: The installation can be completed by one or two people and takes approximately 30 minutes.
Q: Should all screws be fully tightened during the initial assembly?
A: No. Do not fully tighten the screws while assembling the brackets.
Install and align all components first, then tighten every fastener once the complete system is correctly positioned.
This small step can save you from the classic installation experience known as “Why is the last hole half an inch away?”
Q: What should I do if the sun-visor plastic cover will not close after installing the front bracket?
A: Slightly trim the interfering plastic area to eliminate the gap and allow the cover to close completely.
Q: What happens if the left and right brackets are installed in the wrong positions?
A: If the left and right brackets are reversed, the vehicle roof will not close properly.
Please confirm the bracket positions before fully tightening the hardware.
Q: Does the package include all required mounting hardware?
A: Yes. All brackets, screws, washers, lock nuts, and fuses required for installation are included.
POWER ROUTING, USB & LIGHTING
Q: How is the power routed?
A: Complete power-routing instructions are provided in the product user manual.
Q: Why does the USB charging port stop working after the vehicle is turned off?
A: Because of the product’s power-supply design, the USB port does not remain powered after the vehicle is shut down.
Q: How do I operate the built-in light?
A: Use a short press to turn the light on or off.
When the light is on, press and hold the switch to adjust the brightness.
Q: What should I do if the light bar does not power on after wiring?
A: Check whether the included blade fuse has blown.
If the fuse is damaged, replace it and test the circuit again.
Q: Are there any important wiring-safety precautions?
A: Yes.
Make sure the vehicle engine is turned off while completing the wiring. Do not allow exposed metal wire terminals to touch each other, as this may cause a short circuit.
Electricity is useful. Accidental smoke is generally less useful.
