We now have our new 6.5" rear speaker pod upgrade available for the 2022–2026 Ford Bronco Raptor.
The factory rear pods are limited to small 4" speakers, which can struggle to deliver enough volume and mid-bass in an open-air vehicle. Our replacement pods allow you to upgrade to full-size 6.5" speakers for noticeably better sound quality, output, and frequency range.
The pods are designed specifically for the Bronco Raptor, using the factory mounting locations and plugging directly into the factory speaker wiring. They are molded to match the factory texture, color, and interior lines for a clean, OEM-style fit.
Available in three configurations:
  • Unloaded for your own 6.5" speakers
  • SSV Works A6 powersports speakers
  • Kicker KM marine-grade speakers
It’s a simple, plug-and-play way to get more sound out of the rear of your Bronco Raptor without sacrificing the factory-integrated appearance.

Quick question I have a 2021 Badlands , but have the Raptors rear C bow brace on it. Should I order the regular Bronco kit? Or should I order the Raptor version in order to clear that brace?

Anyone have a detailed review of the installation process and sound comparison to the Braptor factory speakers? Never heard of SSV audio and what the differences are between the offered options (SSV, Kicker….). Some additional details would be helpful. On the surface, I’m interested, but not pulling the factory speakers with my fingers crossed about the sound differences or knowing what the differences are between the various options.

I’ve been looking for a plug-n-play audio upgrade, including the sub. Installation complexity and a lack of a clear understanding of improvement gains have kept me from altering my Braptor speakers.

Order the Raptor version, those are made specifically to fit with the rear cross brace

Installing is super easy! It can be done in 30 minutes. There are three bolts holding on the pod, two on top and one on the bottom. Simply unbolt and unplug the factory pod, then plug our pod into the harness you unplugged from the factory pod, bolt ours up to the same bolts and done!

As far as SSV Works goes, we've been around for 20 years now. We started in, and are still primarily in the UTV world, being the first company ever to start audio integration into side-by-sides. We manufacture all our product to specifically meet the demand of off-roading, to withstand heavy vibrations, dirt, dust, water, etc. Anything you can throw at it. Our Bronco pods are an extremely popular upgrade, having sold thousands of them. If you look at the non-Bronco version, which is just a different shape, you can read through the hundreds of reviews.

The upgrade. Your factory speaker, even the B&O speaker is just a cheap paper factory speaker that does not produce quality audio. It's also only a 4" speaker that really only produces high-frequencies. Where are a aftermarket 6.5" speaker will not only produce higher quality audio, it also can product high and mid frequencies, producing greater depth in the audio, moving that tin sound from the factory speakers.

For the differences between the speaker options.. We sell the pods without speakers incase you have a brand of speakers you prefer. For the version that comes with Kicker or SSV speaker options, the Kicker speakers are a little more powerful, but the the SSV speakers have a larger tweeter.Ultimately the sound comparison is pretty neck to neck. The big difference is the warrant. The Kicker speakers have a limited 3-year warranty vs our SSV Speakers (and the pods themselves) come with a limited lifetime warranty! Both the Kicker and SSV option are popular. We do also have a plug-&-play 10" subwoofer add-on kit if you're looking for some heavy bass!

I don't have the SSV version but another as there was only one option way back when. I will say upgrading to a 6.5" speaker is just that and actually a substantial upgrade. Probably the largest improvement to speakers you can make. I prefer the balance of sound from the rear and not the front so I might have some inherent bias.

I have a 2026 Bronco Raptor.... tell me about your plug and play sub kits? I do not want anything mounted on the rear door....would rather have a 10" type sub in the stock location. I looked into a few kits but got confused with install drilling, wiring extra amp, dsp unit whatever...was hoping for a simple speaker and possible amp swap....let me know what you have in sub's that is a little better than stock Braptor B&O sub.

Is the Braptor sub replacement as plug-n-play as the 6.5” speakers?

Our sub kit mounts along the drivers side wheel, and still keeps for your factory sub. Yes, the factory sub isn't great, but it'll still function, essentially giving you a dual sub setup. We provide a T-harness that plugs between the factory amp and audio signal wire harness, giving you an extra audio signal lead, that will plug into the amplifier that comes with our kit. There is no drilling required iwth our kit and uses all factory mounting locations. here is a link to the sub kit so you can check it out. But if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask! https://ssvworks.com/products/2021-2026-ford-bronco-4-door-plug-play-10-subwoofer-complete-kit

Is the Braptor sub replacement as plug-n-play as the 6.5” speakers?
Anytime! Yes, our sub is fully plug-&-play just like the 6.5" speakers, but installation does take longer. Our subwoofer kit actually does not replace the factory subwoofer, it adds another subwoofer, essentially giving you a dual sub setup (the factory sub and ours). It mounts on the drivers wheel well in the cargo area. We provide a T-harness that plugs between the factory amp and audio signal wire harness, giving you an extra audio signal lead, that will plug into the amplifier that comes with our kit. You only have to run that one harness over to the factory amp, as well as the power/ground for the new amp up to the battery under the hood. Overall, the install can be done in just a couple hours. Here is a link to the subwoofer kit for you to check out. if you have any other questions, feel free to ask! https://ssvworks.com/products/2021-2026-ford-bronco-4-door-plug-play-10-subwoofer-complete-kit

Won’t work for me as I have molle pane on each side. Should be able to get a housing made for hidden placement like the stock sub and a better amp ?

Curious about this. Have you considered the possibility of a direct sub replacement/upgrade, similar to the 6.5” pods? It would seem to make sense to simply upgrade the B&O sub, utilizing the same space and wiring such as with the simplicity of the 6.5 replacement speakers.

I get that 2 subs are better than one, but there would seem to be appeal in a direct swap/upgrade with the B&O sub. Just seems like that whole direct swap/upgrade package may be of interest.

Good to hear, thanks.

Here’s a question from another thread about this swap and curious if you or anyone else needed to change settings to fully utilize the 6.5” pod audio performance. Not sure how applicable this guys post is, but here it is:

”Looking into this upgrade and I understand you have to change the rear pod speaker setting from "tweeter" to "speaker" to get full range and also there's an EQ setting to change to "flat" that eliminates bass roll-off.”
