For you guys that lifted your Bronco can I ask what you did about your sway bar end links. After installing my Fox 2.5 elites I noticed the sway bar looks like it needs shorter end links. I’m looking for ones shorter and that will be quite the only thing I’m seeing is Rock jock they have boots but need an adaptor not sure how short you can make them with adaptor over all. Any help with this would be appreciated.

something is strange here. The sway bar is attached to the frame and the end links are attached to the LCA. Adding lift at the wheels through increased coilover static equilibrium length at ride height will necessarily increase LCA angles. thus sway bar end links should need to be increased.

I haven't done anything with my sway bar links - they are still stock. I'm running something like 3.5" of lift over stock non-SAS.

Now, I'm probably doing something wrong. So take that into account.

But the sway links connect about midway out on the LCAs, not at the very end - so the effect of lift isn't as exaggerated. And it also depends on exactly how you accomplish the lift - a body lift won't do jack to it... a spring suspension lift the same, and the same for just bigger tires - the LCA doesn't pivot relative to the frame for any of those.

A tophat suspension lift though, would push the LCA to pivot down relative to the frame, as that's how you are gaining the lift. So I can see why the instinct would be that you would want smaller links. But the link is only halfway out on the LCA, not out at the end. So the link isn't dropping nearly as much as the hub/tire is.

But honestly, as long as you are paying attention to CV angles and your CVs are in check, I think the stock swaybar links would be fine as well. The swaybar bushings have a good deal of play - I don't know exactly what angle they bottom out, but I suspect that your CVs would be in danger before you really run out of play in the sway bar.

(and if you are really pushing the sway bar off road, you can always disconnect it for better articulation anyway)

Anyway, I think that's why we don't really see a huge aftermarket for swaybar links just for the sake of adding lift - I really only see those that add the benefit of additional articulation, like the quick disconnect kits or Walker links, or entire swaybar replacements for better articulation, like Carli or Rock Jock.

My experience with the electronic/hydraulic disconnect has been that the driver side arm and nut seem to always find it's way into the inner CV boot. I recently found the adjustable units and hoping they will solve my issue by increasing the clearance.
We'll know next month how it plays out 🤠.

YMMV
