Thanks for the reply, nice setup. Surprised you didn't have to remove the vents, mine sit pretty far back.
Looking at another option for the rear cargo area. Tougher to get to but will only use it when it isn't on me and I'm out of the truck.
So I have a Badlands with the manual seats. That may explain the additional "headroom" I have under the seat for the Vsafe.

My guess is folks with electric-adjustable seats have a bunch of motors and other gear under the seat that impacts the available space for an under-seat handgun safe.

When I am settling into a new vehicle finding a good place to store my handgun is a priority. I am a retired LEO so carrying a weapon is second nature and being without one is a feeling of nakedness. That said, the Bronco presents some challenges. I have never been a fan of carrying a firearm under the seat or in the center consol. I finally found an optimum solution after seriously considering doing away with the mesh pockets on the doors. The solution was very simple. Here is a photo of my holster (a paddle holster) with my 9mm inside.

Here is the 9mm fitting next to the seat belt very solidly and out of sight. It does not interfere with the seatbelt operation nor does it dig into my side.

here is the magazine pouch behind the passenger seat and very accessible to my right hand.

Disclaimer: Be very careful, if you do this in some states you will be arrested. Check out your local laws. i live in gun friendly Idaho where no permit is needed to conceal carry.

Sure seems like we are being stuck into the Gulag for not being PC, but really a five year old thread acting as one size fits all?

Regardless here is the cheap and easy way to carry a long gun which works as pictured or behind the front seats just as well. Most of us aren't going to be carrying long guns on a daily basis, but hunting season calls for an easy solution.

These hangars are about $12 on eBay
