I love marker lights and have been meaning to do the same with my Bronco for years, but haven't gotten around to it. I wouldn't go solar, and no need for AUX switches, for marker lamps just tap into the parking lights. If you're running some watts, use a relay ;)

I have the Zroads light bar, but haven't decided which way to go. I'm also a Volunteer FF, and want to incorporate flashing blues as well. I put a n emergency light bar on top of the Zroads for a bit, and was going to put marker lights above the light bar, but didn't like the look and put the light bar on my RAM (which has markers from the factory).

I've looked at a few other options, including off road lights with blue side shooters, and Auxbeam off road lights with amber markers on top. I've also looked at dual amber/blue marker lights, which I could wire up with a flasher, so they could be solid amber, or flashing amber or flashing blue. That's currently my favorite plan, but we'll see.

Disclaimer - I don't want to drive like a jackass to answer calls, but I would like people to give me the right of way. Was answering a call the other day during rush hour where I had to wait for half a dozen cars to turn into my neighborhood before I could continue ;)
I'm also a VFF. I have a dash-mounted blue light. It works with some people, but not others. I've thought about putting that in the grille.
