My wife and I were there weekend before last. It can be "interesting" trying to get out and take pictures but if you pick rig close to the front of the line you will have ample time to grab pics and video of a couple on rigs behind you going through the "fun parts".Good morning. I will be attending the Tennessee Bronco Off Rodeo next week and I’m excited.
I see a lot of videos and pictures online and I was wondering if the off rodeo staff are helpful with taking a picture or video here or there for you while you go through the event or if you are on your own? I will have a passenger with me but they have limited mobility issues so they won’t be able to easily jump in and out if the car to tsje a picture or video.
I was just curious to see what to expect. I certainly don’t want to interfere with them doing their job, be a nuisance or keep them from guiding people safely through the course.
Thank you!
Thank you. Good point. I have one of those adapters and it fits into the mounting hole in the Bronco dashboard. It then acts like a standard tripod mount screw. The iPhone mounting case I got fits into it.I advise to make sure you have a stud that threads into the dashboard, several people were left unable to use the stock location as the didn't have the adapter.
Thank you you the pointers and tips. I’m really looking forward to attending it and making the most of the experience.Sounds like a good plan! I know you'll have fun. You'll meet some great people and swap some stories when it's time to eat. There is a store in the main building with T-Shirts, hats, stickers, etc, so make sure you bring some cash for that. You'll find that the staff has a great attitude. Having your best friend with you will make it even better. If you want a two-door, you might want to get there early so you can snag it. When I was there last June, there were only two or three. I got the Black Diamond in Area 51 blue.
I imagine those would make for interesting videos.Ive seen mounts, that'll utilize the trail sights, for the gopro. Seems like a good spot for decent video.
I think I saw that. It may return one day to do the BYOB.Good News... you can do it regularly at the TN Bronco Off-Roadeo (BYOB):
Bring Your Own Bronco
The good thing is that you are on trails with guides who know the trails and you will not get damage to your rig.
The wife and I did both the Off-Roadeo and the BYOB in Tennessee and had a great time at both.
I did Windrock Off-Road Park and got some trail damage, but that's to be expected on the trails we chose.
I will be there on Thursday the 11th.What day will you be there?
Thank you for your response. I am hoping to make some friends while there. I usually offer to take pictures for people so nobody gets left out of a picture and have found that they usually reciprocate without even asking. It’s no fun being the person who is in none of the family vacation pictures.Just went in May. No professional photographers. Several people brought someone/spouse/friend and lots of the technical spots give ample opportunity to hop out and film. Everyone in our group was more than willing to film you or for you if you wanted. Very friendly group we had.
Only issue with dash mount is it's difficult to capture just how steep the slopes are you're traveling.
It's a great time. Enjoy
Thank you for the tip. I definitely want to take a lot if pictures and videos of the action. My wife and I were there weekend before last. Everyone is always very friendly at these events. Exchange contact info and they'll share their camera roll of the day's events. Can easily set up a public album on Google Photos and just add people.I will be there on Thursday the 11th.

I hope there is a friendly group when I go and have no doubt it will be.
Thank you for the tip about the dash mount and angle. That’s a very good point.

Thank you for the advice and tips. I was wondering how to get photos to the right people and you answered my question.Everyone is always very friendly at these events. If you are inclined to tip your guide (everyone should), then a little larger tip at the beginning should make the guide more amenable to taking photos for you.
