I noticed on very windy days that I was hearing a slight whistling sound coming from the lower left area somewhere. It wasn't the normal whistling sounds at higher speeds that you can tell are from the hardtop. I tracked it down I think to the front driver side window channel not sealing properly when the door is closed.
In comparing to the front passenger side window channel it looks like my driver side was hacked up from the factory (photos showing driver and passenger side). The seal doesnt fully cover over the glass when the window rises after closing the door and leaves a little gap that isn't present on passenger side.

I brought it into my local dealer and they said could not replicate issue and although the driver side channel looks different than passenger side that it was performing fine. Rather than going back and forth with the dealer I tracked down the part number M2DZ-7821597-E and would like to just replace the part myself since it isnt too expensive.

The sides and top of the window channel look to be loosely slotted in the grooves around the frame but when carefully peeling back part of the trim i definitely saw at least one clip and the part diagram shows hard plastic parts on the ends that look to attach or slot into place on the body.

My only concern is when removing the original trim that id break off some clips or rivets that might cause an issue when installing the new part. Was hoping either @Ducati1098 or @flip could provide the repair manual procedure if available? You guys and this forum are an invaluable resource for those of us with less than stellar dealer support. Thanks for any assistance anyone can provide!

There is no procedure in the workshop manual (at least that I could find) for that weatherstrip.
But to be honest though it's pretty straight forward. The majority of it just fits into a grove all around and then the 2 sides on the bottom just have a few clips that you pop out.

If I remember correctly the new weatherstrip comes with the new clips also, so you shouldn't really need to worry about breaking any of them and I don't think any other trim needs to be removed to replace it.

Thank you for confirming! I'll give it a go.

Closest I could find was for the rear section and it’s basically just pull. A couple push pins at the bottom of either end otherwise.
