Switched from a chinese clone compressor to a ARB brushless twin. The space saving alone was worth it.

I have been using an ARB single mounted in my tailgate with an AAL mount. I also have the ARB pressure control module. With this, I can set the pressure on my phone, hook the 4 ways, and sit in my cabin while I air up or down.

No real issues with my setup, yes, it not as fast as a twin, but that does not really bother me. The only issue I had was getting the APCM calibrated.

Before this setup, I used a Milwaukee M18 portable compressor. What you get with an onboard air is room. No worries about the portable being strapped down. Just turn on the engine and go. With the compressor being in the tailgate, I just hook up, and I am good. I use an EZFlate 4-way hose setup, and I also have the ARB single hose setup.

How was instal? I currently have a Milwaukee M18 but have been wanting to mount an ARB twin brushless *somewhere* but can't seem to find a good spot. My husband has a Gen3 Raptor and we did the swarfworks engine mount where you access it by the front driver tire/wheel well.

How is the single v the M18? For me the M18 works fine but does get hot and takes a while. I'm having trouble justifying to myself doing all the work and wiring for a single. Is yours brushless?

Hello!

At first the install was difficult because of a lack of updated and clear instructions. Now that I have done it, and written instructions, it is not hard at all. Just need to make sure to use tape to stop your area from being scratched.

As for the single vs the M18, it is a difference. I can air all 4 of my tires from 18 to 38 in about 10 mins. The single does not overheat. The M18 was tire by tire, and I had to carry an extra battery. With my setup, I just connect the hoses, hit my on-road or off-road, and take a seat while it does its thing.

Very convenient, and I do not lose any space or worry about tying the M18 down. I use the M18 for around-the-house stuff still, so win-win.
