After reading through a lot of the summer prep comments, one thing that keeps coming up is how differently the Bronco gets used once doors and roof panels start coming off more often.

Doors-off and top-off season is obviously the fun part 😄

But after a few weekends, the practical side usually shows up pretty quickly.

Rear doors come off… and suddenly they need somewhere safe to go instead of leaning against a garage wall, sitting awkwardly in a corner, or getting scratched up moving them around.

Then there’s the other summer classic — parking outside for a while and coming back to a Bronco that feels like an oven inside ☀

A couple things that ended up being way more useful than expected for summer use:

✅ Rear Door Storage Bag

Makes storing removed rear doors a lot less awkward and adds protection while they’re off the vehicle.

✅ Bronco Sunshade

Simple upgrade, but makes a surprisingly noticeable difference if the Bronco spends any time parked outside.

Also have a small summer discount running right now for anyone already getting their Bronco ready for hotter weather.

Curious what other small summer upgrades ended up being way more useful than expected once temperatures started climbing?

Considering the sunshade for mine. Can't find reviews, but references say introduced February 2026, so relatively new. To date, it seemed like the Alien brand was the most highly recommended. Anyone having the Mabett product have any comments?
Thanks!

I have a Bronco Bikini. Worth spending a little more. Quality mesh top. Hardware stays in place once installed. Put on and take off in 5 minutes. Installs with bunch fasteners. Needs to be removed before you put the hard top back on. No Velcro to mess with.

That sunshade Bimini is a fabulous price point, and overall nice product. I went with the JTop for less flapping, noise and overall product… but at a significantly higher price, Both have their markets.

Also got the Door bags… 4 pak. Nice to have.!
Later added the EZ4x4 door cart and cover… securely holds all 4 doors with protective cover in a narrow profile in garage.

Ordered the Jtops Dual a few weeks ago in tan to match OBX brown interior.

Being in the far North the sun is very high for many hours so this will be very nice, and reduce wind buffering and noise a lot.

Open top is fun with hat and UV blocking surf shirts but after 3 years of in in Mustang with wind blocker, I know this will expand top down usability to Mustang levels especially outside temp range and road speeds and close to comfort levels.

I believe in pay once cry once, with some exceptions.

Is Bronco Bikini the brand name?

My interior gets dusty enough just driving around with the window cracked. I have had the two front panels off once, until I realized we were headed to the shooting range with all of our pistols and ammo in the back, which then meant we needed to drive back to the house to put the panels back on before we went to dinner. I'm a poor planner, lol.

Found them. Thanks.

What fabric option do you have on yours?

Do you keep your Bronco Bikini on with roof panels over the top? If so how do you like that?

Since I have the blackout package on my 2026 Raptor, the roll bar is all gloss black. I went with the double mesh black to still get a little air flow but they make heavy duty canvas versions too in different colors if you want solid. I don’t believe it’s designed to leave on with your hard top. I only use it from time to time in Northern CA and the double mesh does a great job in shading the interior and keeping it cool.

There are videos on their website that show how to manage the cover and keep the hard top panels in place. I've read the comments on other threads that seem to show satisfaction with what it takes to manage the cover and top together. I'll watch them a few more times. On first watch, though -it doesn't seem so easy.

I:'m glad to know you like yours so well. It's encouraging.

Thanks for sharing your experience(s) with this product with me (and the forum) 😉

Black on black sounds great!
My Raptor is Shelter Green, accented with Race Red accents (beauty rings, silicon letters, etc) so got the JTops BRaptor mesh in Red. Came Red Mesh with black edge framing… looks and feels excellent.

You can leave Bimini in place… they suggest you fold part of the Ft section back… sounds functional but haven’t installed yet to visually examine.

Yeh, if you want a mesh top that stays on with your hard top and is a semi permanent install - meaning you don’t take it on and off frequently because it mounts beneath the Raptor center member - JTop is the best.

I have seen those videos. I think the challenge is just working your hands around the bungy balls to get to the hard top levers. Honestly it can be removed in less than 5 minutes so I just take it off. I like the look of the white roof interior with sound deadening pads.
