Uwharrie Meet Up in May

I'm up for one in June as well. I won't be able to on the 27th though (wife's birthday). The rest of the month is relatively open. I bought the season pass so I want to go as much as possible.

I signed up for the Tennessee Off Rodeo on August 8th. A fellow member and I are going hit Hurricane Creek, Buzzard Roost, and the Goat Trail on the way there. On the way back we are going to hit Old NC 105 and Brown Mountain.

Brown mountain is a good trail, just keep in mind that it is only 1.5 trail(s), trail1 and trail 8(?) that loops back to 1. So the only way back out is the way you go in, the group I went with tried to tell me there was a way to go without having to revisit a certain spot, there was not. Definitely good to have a spotter if its your first time going.

I am headed to the Vegas off-roadeo on the 29th of this month, can’t wait!

We‘ve already gone to the Tenn Offrodeo last fall and loved it. We’ve been trying to get out to Uwharrie. Look forward to this.

I plan on being at the Eldorado Outpost 1000. I would like to be on the trails by 1030.

If it is your first time, you will need to purchase a pass from the Eldorado Outpost. Day passes are $5 and $30 for a season pass.

Here is a general idea for the day and is subject to change based on group input, time, conditions, and weather.

Break
Rocky Mount Loop
Sawmill
Slab Pile
Break (group split for Dutch John and Daniel)
Dutch John (optional)
Backside if Daniel (optional)

Again, input is welcome and will help shape the trip.

I have never been on Dutch John or Daniel. I would prefer that someone who has take the lead.

To get an assessment of the group, please respond with the following when confirming your attendance.

Offroad experience: (none/some/moderate/experienced)
Can/willing to spot: Yes/No
Radio: Yes/No (GMRS)

I also attached a PDF with the trail(s) bailout spots in case someone needs to bail out. I had CoPilot create this so might be off a bit. Someone who has been there might be able to comment on the accuracy of this.
I'm also going to be my compressor to air down/up and will have it in case there is a need.
