I was born in '61, so I remember the original Bronco. My dad worked for Ford and he had a company lease car. One time when it was in the shop for maintenance they loaned him a 1G Bronco and he parked it in our garage. I looked at it and imagined all the places I could go in it. I ordered a new '88 Bronco II in the fall of '87. It had manual locking hubs, a 5 speed manual and a stick transfer shift. I upgraded the small tires it came with from the factory and took it offroad often, though nothing extreme. I've had nothing but 4WD vehicles since - all Fords. I test drove a couple Explorers 9 or 10 years ago and my salesman happened to mention that he heard Ford was bringing back the Bronco. I decided to keep my '07 Sport Trac until I could get a 6G Bronco. I finally got my '22 4Dr Badlands (non-Sas) around Aug 1st, 2022. My detached garage collapsed on it in February of 2025 and it was totaled in March. I ordered a '25 Badlands, 4Dr Sas w/HOSS 3.0 in April and purchased it on July 18th, 2025. I like it even better than my '22 Badlands as it is more capable and a bit quieter with the painted roof. I've yet to do hard core off-roading in it, but I have driven it through foot and a half deep snow. It goes through snow like a tank.
My personal "build date" is early '61 and though we were fairly exclusively a Ford family, there is that odd period in the '50s when Dad actually worked for Chevy near Buffalo, NY and got chastised for driving his '53 Victoria on the lot each day. Maybe that's why Dad ended up in the Air Force ... 🤔. During dad's time in Vietnam ('69-70), we stayed with my uncle in southern NM. Uncle Al had a red '66 Bronco that he would take me and my cousins bouncing around the desert. That red '66 always stuck with me and is the reason I ended up with a Ruby Red '25 HE. In hindsight, however, the SAS version Badlands I drove at OffRoadeo was stunningly awesome. If I had a "do over," that'd be my choice.

Well for me, I started chasing the dream in the mid 80's when I saw my first Classic. Neighbor down the road from my buddy's girl friend had 2, a red & blue Classic that I drooled over all through high school. I ended up with my 81 CJ-5, as I couldn't find a Classic Bronco.

A few years later I found my 76 which I have so many great memories of, including a wild cross-country trip from coast to coast.

Unfortunately, that truck needed more work than I had the space & ability to take care of at the time. My Pop had no want for me rebuilding that truck in his driveway so down the road it went.

I never lost my love for the Classic's. I ended up in my 93 XJ for 18 years & wheeled the snot out of it until I gave it a way & left the 4x4 world for a bit. I too suffered through the 17+ years of that same teaser photo.

And now I have landed here to enjoy the years of cup holder, no power seats, rear vents, too loud, poor gas milage & you name it rants 🤠
