Hey all,

I am new to this communication Bronco Chain. My wife and I just bought a new 2026 Ford Bronco Raptor and Love It! We want to buy a clear front and passenger side one piece Sunroof for it and the only thing I could find was the Putco Element Panel. It looks great but when you read the reviews some people love it and others say it is noisy and leaks. does anyone have one of these Putco Units and have any issues with it? I would really appreciate some feedback on this because she misses her sunroof and wants something to replace it.

Also does anyone have a cover that they would suggest for both front and back seat roof panels to protect them. There are a lot out there with reviews all over the place. Looking for advice for this as well.

Thx Chili D

I was curious as well, and I asked Grok, heres what I got back.. I asked if anyone else made a product similar o what you are trying to avoid.

Yes, there are a few similar or competing products, though Putco's Element Sky View appears to be one of the most established and directly comparable options currently available for the 2021+ Ford Bronco 4-Door. Main Alternative: ClearLidz
  • ClearLidz makes clear/transparent removable hardtop panels (often called "clear lids") that replace the front Freedom-style panels on vehicles like Jeeps. They provide a panoramic sky view with tinted polycarbonate.
  • Putco directly compares its Sky View to ClearLidz on its site, highlighting advantages like better OEM-style fit, higher-quality Makrolon Tuffak polycarbonate, superior sealing (less leak-prone), lower wind noise, and included storage bag. Both are designed for quick install/removal.
  • ClearLidz has been discussed for Broncos in forums (e.g., Bronco6G), but availability seems more limited or Jeep-focused compared to Putco's dedicated Bronco version. Some users view Putco as an improved or Bronco-specific evolution.
Other/Upcoming Options
  • Turn Offroad Panoramic Moon Roof — This is an upcoming (early 2026) add-on option for their aftermarket hard tops. It uses 20% tinted glass panels for a modern panoramic view while maintaining off-road durability. Pricing is expected at ~$300–$400 per panel. It's positioned as a more premium, glass-based alternative rather than polycarbonate.
  • Sky365 Roof Panels — Primarily for Jeep Wrangler JL/Gladiator (tinted glass, one-piece design, DOT-approved). No confirmed Bronco version yet, though it's a similar concept to what some Bronco owners seek.
Context on the MarketPutco's product is a direct replacement for the front removable panels on the Bronco's OEM hard top. It's made from durable, UV-protected tinted polycarbonate (not glass), installs in minutes without tools, and includes a storage bag. It's praised for all-season use but some owners note wind noise or heat buildup in direct sun. Other aftermarket hard tops for the Bronco (e.g., from Rally Tops, ADV, Anderson Composites, Armadillo, Turn Offroad) focus on full fiberglass replacements rather than clear/panoramic panels. None currently offer a direct clear-lid equivalent to Putco's. In short, ClearLidz is the closest direct competitor (with Putco often positioned as superior for Broncos), while Turn Offroad's upcoming glass option could be a strong alternative soon. Check forums like Bronco6G or Bronco Nation for real-user photos/reviews, as experiences with noise, leaks, and durability vary. If you're shopping, compare fitment, materials (polycarbonate vs. glass), and warranties closely.

On the storage bag question, NOT Mabett. The front bag is ok but the passenger panel bag is way too small and difficult to get the panel in and out.

I’ve looked at the Putco a few times since made in my town: Des Moines. Talked to a few that own one… both like it for the sunroof, although they say it’s a bit noisier than OEM since it’s thinner and without the insulated top in the painted Raptor tops.

I was considering, having it Paint Matched on the sides so it looked nice with the open clear top.

Bags: Orderd 3 different bags… all not ideal. Finally ordered the Ford Garage Bags (not meant to be clipped into Bronco). The Ford bags were top notch in fit, material, quality and zippers. Plus a Bronco pressed in Image on Bags.

Wait til Ford site has a 15 or 20% off coupon and buy them all. They have coupons quite often in their Web Banner…. One now for 15%. Last week was 20%.

Just to cover the Open Ft Panels & Mid Panel for evening parking… check Broncover.

All need Clear ppf on exterior and ceramic 85% + tint on inside or whatever % one prefers. This adds $500

Totally agree… essential add-ons.
Although higher price in my area.

Tint World did all glass, including windshield with ceramic tint. Even with Veteran discount it was around $600… I choose their top grade. Light (clear) windshield, little darker for rest of Bronco that adds to the glass tint.

PPF is pricey around here… even DIY ordering pre-cut and applying myself is pricey. Haven’t done BRaptor yet, est $600+, the F450 was apx $1000 for lower half and 1/2 height hood.

Thx for the input Doug on the clear Bronco roofs. I am still gonna take my chances with the Putco unit I think but buy it on Amazon so I am covered warranty wise.

$600 all around not bad I paid USD 280 just for Kavaca ceramic 55% on front doors but love it's zero haze. I was quoted USD 3,800 for whole Bronco ( soft top) but just did below grill, grill, mirror caps, windshield surround, flares, headlights and driving lights for about 800.

I’m close to going with it too… overall it’s a very nice top. The Glass if when available, would be beautiful… but they may not offer for years, if at all.
Plus, unknown… the glass may be substantially heavier than the Plexiglass material.

I definitely wouldn’t run it in Winter, but the open view to sky is a huge improvement in spacious feeling for cabin.

What color is your top? Black… if not would you paint match the sides?

Best of luck… let us know your thoughts once on and using.

Your $3800 is about right for shop applying PPF, probably on low side. My F450, bottom 1/2, Nose, hood and Duals they wanted $5600.

The DIY PPF Precut is great… once you learn the technique. I’ll be doing BRaptor’s flares, hood, and lower 1/2 body…. Once above 70’s F consistently for weather.

The $600 for glass ceramic… I think before Vet and coupons was apx $750. Their top grade comes with warranty to replace if scratched, discolors or hazed… ck Tint World out.

For those interested in the Sky365 Glass Top panel, and holding out for Bronco release.
Looks like that won't be happening for long time if any.
Sent Sky365 a quick support question if adding the Bronco panel.
Looks like Putco is the only worthy option.

Response follows...
Hello Douglas,

Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate you sharing your feedback! Right now, we don't have any plans to make a panel for the Bronco, though customer feedback is always helpful to help us gauge interest.
