I just got back from garage to do some adjustments on middle section on rack.
I had some movement (up/down) while it was up there.
The 2 "locks"in the back that slide under the metal brackets had a gap. The instructions do state or at least video, insure these are down and forward in relationship to rack as it would be on top of Bronco. Now I did use a socket/rachet to install all hardware.
So I attempted to adjust these using same socket/rachet. I noticed that after backing off hardware there is some movement to make it lower and forward to rack. However, the sidewall of socket when it is on the nut, forced bracket "up" thus not be at lowest adjustment. I end up using little flat wrench that came with kit. (Often laugh or cuss these) The only way I could tighten these and still keep bracket where it was needed ( lowest most fwd on rack) was to have flat wrench from bottom side only on 2 sides of nut while tightening Allen bolt.
After this was done the top does not move.
Also needed to figure out why one of hook latches wouldn't close. One side did, one side didn't.
While putting rack on Bronco I had hardware for brackets for top attachment points loose. The problem side turns out the spacers/shims (I used 2 each side) slid back out and we're not in between bracket and rail.
Loosened and slide them in and tightened, all is well.
Just in case someone asks what the heck are the spacers for.
