Be aware of cooling / airflow impairment with any non vented enclosure type protection often seen on competition vehicles that have substantial remote cooling heat exchangers for motor oil, trans and in extreme use cases diffs, often with own fans.

Any vehicle without this substantial external cooling thats using enclosed protection will lose the OE engineered air flow that is critical for cooling assistance and may create a back pressure increase impairing airflow volumes through grill mounted coolers that are designed for specific air flows, through and down the engine bay, and out the bottom and sides.

I personally would only go with Ford Performance because you know they are tested or aftermarket with obvious slats, ports, and side air gaps.

I have the full set of IAG minus the rear diff and the front one up to the bumper (have a different aftermarket from barnes).

You have access to the drain plug, pretty easy to get to. it will make a mess tho if the case is full. it is nearly impossible to keep the skid plates clean unless you make something to deflect it. I use an evacuator pump to pull out as much as possible then get the rest out the plug.

As for the cooling comment above, I've seen no issues on road and offroad. I am not dessert running tho. However, that means im in 4LO generally the whole time, and going slow. air movement is minimal to start with.

I would use this IAG engine skid with my Lobo hidden winch front plate and I am also planning on also adding a Fumoto oil valve with a drainage hose kit. I am hoping it will fit my 2026 4dr 2.3L manual Badlands. The easy oil access feature will hopefully allow me to avoid loosening the Lobo plate with the winch installed for oil changes.

I can measure if you think that will be helpful - distance from plug to plate

Thank you for the offer! Maybe a picture would be good, but don't bother if it's tough to get. I am pretty sure it will fit and the Lobo plate bolts over/on-top of the engine plate and uses the same bolt holes (the two on the passenger side of the plate) plus two holding the differential. This clamping of the engine plate by the heavy/thick Lobo plate is what makes removing it for an oil change difficult (per at least one Lobo owner). Thus, my interest in the IAG with easy oil access.

Here are some copy/paste images from the Lobo install manual.
