Heading to TN Offrodeo April 11th

Hello, My wife and I are headed down to the offrodeo next weekend. We are staying in Maryville. Friday night and have the offrodeo saturday. I have been looking for some mild trails around that area or on our way back to MD. Looking on the OnX app, it seems like several trails around the maryville area are still closed.
Im traveling alone so I’m looking for easy trails with limited risk. Hope you guys have some suggestions.

Had to check as Rich Mtn, Parsons Branch, and Roaring Fork typically open in April. But the current Seasonal Road Schedule for 2026 indicates May 1 except for Rich Mtn.

Just going by the official source. I do think that Parsons will be open. Roaring Fork is open despite the official schedule posted above. I've seen posts on other social media outlets that the Park Service was towing vehicles on Roaring Fork.

Thanks for the information. We are heading that way tomorrow. Plan to run tail of the dragon, cades cove and see what trails we can find tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to the experience at bronco offrodeo.

We were there at the TN off rodeo today too. Perfect weather and A+ experience all around.

We have to head back early tomorrow AM or we’d want to run a couple of those trails with you.

You will have a great time...!!!
They served us Mexican for lunch, then we went out on the trails for 5 hours... there are NO bathrooms on the trail ride... so I packed a roll of toilet paper for worst case scenario... didn't need it, but it was a nice feeling that it was available.
