yeah, as previously mentioned, the 2.3 is actually 138 cubic inches, but it fits in with Ford calling the 4.9/302 Fox body V8 a 5.0. Whats a little fender exaggeration between friends?

The exaggeration that you are referring to pales in comparison to the "official" horsepower ratings of several of the late 60's muscle cars!

Just a suggestion: The 1965/66 mustangs with 289 Hi-Performance engines had that fender badge that said 289 and “hi-Performance” also. I would recommend creating something similar

Lucky for you, Ford already made essentially just that for the S550 Mustang EcoBoost performance Package. I added them to my '22 almost immediately after taking delivery.
