Just a fun post... was curious as to what was available so far for the 6G Bronco and/or Raptor in performance brake upgrades.
I was surprised to quickly find 3 Brands for large Ft Caliper sets: Alcon, Baer, and Wilwood... then proceeded to find a few more.
All these convert to 6 piston fixed mount (non sliding) Calipers, most kits for Front Only.
Has anyone ventured down this upgrade path yet, not just rotors & pads?
Was it a smooth upgrade with satisfying results?
I'm not ready to explore the Brake upgrade project on BRaptor; I have installed similar fixed calipers, SSBC 8 piston on F450 Super Duties Ft & Rr with amazing performance improvement. The Fixed calipers, opposing pistons deliver extremely smooth strong controlled braking.
Humorously, while internet crawling, also turned up Caliper Covers... again several brands. This was new to me, I wasn't even aware they made caliper covers. These are thin aluminum "visually" multi-piston caliper shaped covers that fasten over stock calipers. The whole purpose is visual looks through the wheel. They claim reduced brake dust on wheels and improved cooling of rotors which I would doubt.
Anyone played with Caliper Covers?
