Key to overlanding is to attach as much as possible to the roof. This gives the highest COG and most wind drag. Decreasing arrow dynamics is important to reduce fuel economy. This diminished range allows for the opportunity to add swing out rear bumper carrier with fuel cans. Once again maximum weight is crucial.

Of course, you won't have mud by your doors as this isn't for use...

Thanks for the post. Do you know if the Xrack side rail system is compatible with the Bestop automatic convertible top? https://www.bestop.com/products/bronco-4-door-etop-automatic-convertible-top/

We have not tested it. I would need to see if the mounting holes on the top rails that we use are not used by the Bestop. There are 2 holes near the front and 1 hole near the rear.

It is due to the direction of the tailgate.... The shower awning is on the passenger side.

It just seems like you parked where the awning is facing into the sun if you backed in, the awning would of provided more shade .
