Nice, it’s 3d printed? What depth is it? And applied with glue?
Yes 3d printed. Not sure on thickness, but being printed you could easily adjust to whatever you wanted. Yeah I put them on with e7000 adhesive

Did you create a file or did you find one?

Design in progress, but seems like this will work. Will share a file to it once complete for anyone that is looking for a way to mount something up there. My plan is a pair of these to secure a rear shade sail. On the other side of the screws are half inch wide 3D printed pucks with rubber grip pads (could make them out of TPU, probably). I will add a hook to the top surface with my next iteration to clip the sail onto, but will release a flat version on makerworld that you can customize.

Final version, printed in PETG-CF.

View of the clamping mechanism, left side deployed, right side retracted. The little rubber pads were bigger than they were supposed to be (ordered half inch, but they are closer to 3/4 in reality), so looks kinda janky trimmed down - but no one will ever see. I still may come back and design a combined PETG/TPU plunger, but that's for another day.

Ok. I really dont know where these parts are going? I have tried figuring it out from the pictures but I can't. Could you please help me understand where and what they're for.

They will go onto the rear of the hard top where the indentations are (same place that roof racks lock into). This will be part of a setup for a rear awning for the beach, one side will clip onto the roof with these, and the other side supported by a pair of collapsible poles and then staked to the ground for tension. We usually carry a 10x10 popup tent, but want the space back.

Any chance you'd be willing to attach the print file for that? Would love to give these a try!!

Oh. Ok. Now it makes sense.
Thanks for the time to explain what I couldn't see.

You can just upload them here by attaching them to your post too!
