Ladies and gents,
There seems to be a lot of options out there discussing the mObridge full dsp/a2b replacement amp/kit/whathaveyou, but I haven't seen much on anyone adding an amp (from plugnplaykits) that uses the standard processor and adds an amp to the system.

I have replaced the 3 dash speakers with Hertz 100.3s and the rear pods with 6.5 kicker km's and the sub with a kicker comp r 8 in the b&o enclosure. Joe at plugnplaykits has been super helpful in discussing, but I just want to make sure I check around before spending $1000 and wishing later i had spent another $1000....

Has anyone gone the musway route (and saved ~$1000 compared to the mObridge)?

I’m installing this weekend or the following weekend. Have all that I need now. I may have a shop do the initial programming of the Musway M6 Pro DSP. Anyone know someone in Vegas that can do that for me?
However, I need to learn at some point. Programming is probably the only issue I will have.

2025 Bronco Badlands 4-door with B&O

PAC Amp Pro AP4 FD32 (using Toslink) to a Musway M6 Pro DSP. From the Musway amp output I have:
Kicker CX1200.1 1200W Mono D Audio Amplifier for two subs (Kicker CompRT 10").

Kicker KS series speakers for dash 4”, kick panels 6.5” and rear pods 6.5”

You can absolutely do that

But there are cons to it

The reason folks recommend getting the signal at the A2B level - you get the raw, unfiltered audio signal - which is the best thing you can get

if you pick it up at the speakers with a high level input - first you have some degradation from
picking it up at a high level. Then you have whatever EQ and post-processing the B&O DSP applies. Then you try to undo all of that and re-apply a tune to calibrate for your speakers and sound stage.

Any (and every) imperfection or miscalibration propagates and amplifies as it goes through all those all those steps.

Brian you are correct a flat signal is better . I explain the pros and cons to every customer I talk to most people don’t wanna spend the $500 for an interface and also many people do not want to lose their center channel and with the Musway option leaving the BNO Amp in you keep your center channel and don’t need to spend the $500 on the interface and then still need a 6 channel amp to re power all the interior speakers . unless you’re a true audio file most people just want the power that they’re lacking from the BNO system with some adjustments and new speakers and a sub with some real power satisfies 95% of most people for those who want to really fine tune that’s what the Musway DSP Amp is for . Hopefully members that I’ve used the Musway Amp can chime in as I’ve sold a lot of of them and have never had anyone. Call me back not happy with the Musway product.

There is no sensible cost saving way to circumvent AtoB module even with very powerful processing and signal equalizarion of Audison DSP amps Audison mandates AtoB module.

Eventhough I have an Audison 8 ch DSP (in classifieds now) I wanted to test limits of B&O. $2.5K in speakers and sub, plus Kenwood XR1001.1 amp with integrated LOC, and few hundred in sound deadening and absorbing and 6 hrs

I would not be able to get a better sound with DSP amp and AtoB module.
B&O is powerful. I rarely listen over 14. The sub totally transforms the sound stage and sound balance and Kenwood easily handles signal pricesing with perfection.

I recently purchased the Musway eight 100 amp bundle from PlugnPlay kits for my '21 WildTrak. I chose to keep the B&O AMP/DSP to maintain the chimes plus keep the tone/fade/balance features from the touch screen. I didn't need the added intricacy that would come with the mObridge or PAC AmpPro.

For speakers, I replaced the corner dashs with Kicker 4" (KSC40), the kick panels with Kicker 6.75" (51KSC6704) and replaced the rear pods with Kicker 6.5" (51KSC6504).

I initially replaced the factory sub with a Kicker 8" CompR (48CWR84), but didn't like the results so I got a dual Kicker 12" CompR box with a Kicker Mono 800.1 AMP and remote. I grabbed the subwoofer feed from the B&O, vice the 7/8 channel on the Musway, mainly to preserve that for a future upgrade at some point in the future.

Bottom line, it sounds great and I was really impressed with the amp and wiring bundle from Joe @ Plug N Play Kits.

Went for killer sub set up! Its remarkable what a serious sub setup does for B&O sound balance, quality and soundstage.
