**For Sale and discussion: Bronco Raptor/Ranger Raptor Built Short Block**

This high-performance short block can also be utilized Bronco Raptor or Ranger Raptor and also in a 2.7 to 3.0L swap for a 2.7L Bronco or 2.7L F-150.

**Specifications:**
- Built from a brand-new OEM short block
- ZFG Racing LLC Wiseco spec piston (10.5:1 compression ratio)
- ZFG Racing LLC spec Saenz connecting rods
- Main studs included
- ARP outer main support bolts

I typically sell this configuration for just over $10,500, depending on the rising costs of OEM parts. However, I'm offering this one for $8,500 as it’s taking up space. Please note, the exterior of the CGI block is beginning to show surface rust. This engine was used for measuring rods and pistons and sat for a year before being sent to the machine shop for assembly. This is part of the reason for the reduced price.

Feel free to reach out if you're interested!

For discussions sake, what's this good for? 850ish rwhp if I had to guess?

The rods and pistons are built around 1200 hp and could likely handle more.

The issue with these engines is there's a lot that's unknown yet so it's hard to put a power rating on something. We have several build engines out there in the Explorer world that are holding upto 750-800 awhp for multiple passes. It was a little more tricky in the Explorer world because the main caps don't tie into the lower block like they do on the truck version of the engine so I actually had to design and have machined a special girdle that goes in those. Ever since we did that we haven't had any issues with the main caps moving around. The truck block doesn't have that issue though because all of the mains tie into the lower block which makes this engine a lot more Stout in terms of the main cap stability then what the Explorer even with the girdle added is. On the head gasket side the OEM head gasket has been fine we also have CA 625 head studs available so that's not going to go anywhere and then valve trainwise so far all we are doing is putting in valve spring upgrades which really just helps with the high RPM high boost valve float.

So to answer your question in a short answer the goal for these engines is 1000-1200 rwhp everything we upgrade is targeting that horsepower that being said we also don't know what else is going to break along the way. But as of right now 850 rear wheel horsepower is not an issue with what we know.

Impressive. Basically, you'd need a Built 10R80 swapped in + lots of air and fuel to reach the limit of this shortblock (not counting unforeseen failures along the way)

A built 60 will likely hold whatever we can throw at it. Anything approaching 1000 rwhp in these offs going to have a very late torque curve. I think the sweet spot on these is going to be 700 hp and 700 ft-lbs. That's what I'm working towards in a stock location turbo. We've done over 700 rwhp on a ranger raptor but the torque was lack luster. I had the turbo builder change up the compressor to spool faster and get that torque back and hopefully still make 700.

And to be clear I'm talking actual whp not hub dyno numbers that don't translate into real world numbers.

How many hours would one budget to pay a shop to swap this in?

Also consider to realize some benefits peobably need another $10$K +++ in turbos, injectors, IC, and custom tune at a min plus the assy and swap labor 20-30 hrs I would guess.
