Got production model #1 from @RCI Offroad. I love the quality of this thing and so far zero wind noise. The group over at RCI are great! They nailed the fit and look.

I would never be able to install my RTT on that, with how small the gap is to the roof...

Dang! $235 off for tax season. I hadn’t even looked at this rack - but, I have to say - the attention to detail, the fairing shape and the rear end…I’m sold. At least so that I can get on the fishing beach in April - but, I don’t think something will top this being $1000 shipped.

Glad I opened this thread.

That’s why GFC’s quick release for the Superlite is 💯. Mounts into t-slots.

Way back machine. Still liking it. Some wind noise but that comes with about any roof rack.

Probably the worst this is when a rock or mud ball gets thrown up there, the rack sits close enough to the top, it just rolls around and makes noise until you throw it off. Also leaves like to build up behind the front wind deflector in the fall.

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I’m looking for confirmation that this is actually true. I can’t find any info on RCI’s website about the 2 door rack being able to be used in a half rack configuration.

I don't see how it could as there are only 2 mounting points, the front above the windshield and the side where the factory goes. My guess is the 4 dr version could since it has 3 mounting slots with the added side mount in the rear.

That’s what I’m thinking as well. I emailed RCI, and am waiting to hear back. I could see the rear part of the rack being able to physically sit there on its own, but I can’t see how it would be usable or stable.

I can’t say that I’ve tried, but I’d I likely misread and incorrectly responded to that original question.

I received confirmation from RCI that the 2-door rack shouldn't be used with just the rear half installed. One thing I wonder is whether running the back half would be possible if the side molle panels were also installed. This seems like it might secure the rack enough to let it work. Maybe @RCI Offroad can chime in?
